I've been buying this brand for a long time since I read it was one of the best for septic tank systems. Always liked it, but when Sam's had the “plush” version on sale I tried it. The plush version is not as “sturdy”. I decided I'm sticking with “soft and strong”!

Much better than the plush version

Doesn't leave lint behind and I never have issues with the paper breaking through. I have a sewer line, so I can't comment on septic safety. The rolls are divided in two wrapped packs of 16. I only have to buy 1-2 packs a year, so I feel I get a good value for the cost.

Repeat buyer

Soft, strong, and reliable — Quilted Northern offers a comfortable, cushiony feel without falling apart. It's gentle on skin but tough enough for daily use. A great balance of quality and value for any household.

QUILTED NORTHERN THE BEST!

I have a large family and this product does the trick for us. Don't have to purchase small packages when I have Sam's at my fingertips love the product.

Soft toilet tissue

Same quality TP but the rolls are noticeably more narrow than before.  I guess it's just shrinkflation. Doesn't really affect the performance of the product aside from not completely filling out the TP roll from side to side so I don't have an issue.

Still soft and quilted…

The savings offered tempted me to try Quilted Northern for the first time in years. It will be the last time I buy the product for some considerable time. Softness is good, but that's about it. The size of each sheet is very small so you use more. The rolls are smaller so you go through them faster. 

I failed to compare like for like and what seemed like a great value was far from it.

Not the deal expected

GP is consistently shrinking their products. Northern toilet paper used to completely fill my roll holder. Even making the first few pulls difficult. Now, they're smaller all the way around and more narrow too leaving an inch on either side of the role holder now. SMH! Shame!

Continued Shrinkage

Roll is not as tall as Members Mark. The roll is cut very roughly resulting in dust and paper particles accumulating on surfaces in the bathroom. Not a better financial deal.

Not better than Members Mark brand.

I don't really like the toilet paper. I thought it was a good buy, because of the number of sheets and rolls, but the rolls are at least 0.25 of an inch shorter than all other brands. Sneaky! They create a lot of dust, aren't that absorbent or cleaning, so that you have to use about 1.5 times what you use of MM or another brand.

Don't like

I have bought 2 pks of the jumbo pks of soft and strong northern. This is the worse tissue I've ever bought. Iver half if the rolls are messed up. Parts have narrow strips of tissue for the second sheet. Some rolls don't even have the second sheet. It causes much more tissue dust. Not good. Will no longer buy this.
