We own several. Works GREAT for transporting for school sports team events! Several other moms have purchased after seeing ours. Also works great in campers where space is limited %26 a round/oval one doesn’t fit as well. Seems to heat/work just as well as every other crock pot I’ve ever owned. No complaints!

Bought this for the RV to use trackside at recess and outings. Did a test run at home before taking on the road. For those who think it doesn't get hot enough... I did the included Southwest Chicken Chili soup recipe and measured temps with a digital thermometer. True, it doesn't heat up quickly, that's because it used fairly low power (<250 watts). Still, the soup stabilized at 118 on warm, 152 in low, and 210 (boiling) on high.

It is super convenient to use and clean. Well made item. And the chili was very good.

Handy... Recommended especially if you find the round/oval ceramic versions a bit hard to handle when traveling.

Perfect for On-the-Go

Great for tailgating, taking a dish to a party.  Easy to carry and travels well.  Clean up is very easy.  I brought one to a party and went and bought four more for friends.

Perfect for get togethers

Bought this to take a hotdish to a location 4 hours away. We used an adaptor plug in so we could plug it in to the lighter socket in the car. we kept the temp at low and switched to warm. The hotdish was perfect. We pre-made and froze the hotdish. We set it in the Slow cooker in the morning on high for a few hours before we left. We turned it to low when we put it in the car and later switched it to warm. I love the spoon rest, attached lid and carrying handle. The white board with pen is awesome too! Very happy with my purchase!

Great for traveling!

I like the way it looks and that the lid seals anything and won't leak.   It's nice to be able to attach a spoon while traveling.

Wish it was made out of better plastic or metal. I dont need the pen and board. I absolutely love, I mean love the design. Its wide and flat and seals so I can take it to work and it doesnt spill. I like the metal insert instead of glass that can break.

Cool product would buy again!

If you take your slow cooker on the road, you’ll love the Nomad Travel Slow Cooker. It holds a full 6 quarts with a locking cover, spoon holder and protective outer shell that insulates and protects you from the heat of the cooker. Performed well on all heats (hot, low, warm) and kept the food warm for more than an hour. The fact that the carry handle locks into place and the cover is removable for easy serving make this an ideal slow cooker for picnics, parties and other celebrations on the road, and big family meals at home! Clean up was easy. The case wipes clean with a damp cloth and the pan can be washed in the sink or popped in the dishwasher.

Travel Made Easy with Nomad Travel Slow Cooker

This travel slow cooker is great. I pre made my dish in the cooker. I then removed the pan and covered it in foil in the fridge overnight and reheated in the unit the night of the potluck. The cord stores inside of the unit and the handle makes it easy to carry and travel with.

Didn't like that the only way to lock the lid in place was with the handle

The lid doesn’t close unless you move the handle to locking position. There isn’t a working “on” indicator light.
