This was my first time buying a rug pad; I just moved to a house with hardwood floors. I will probably be buying more of these rug pads. The pad is generously sized, so you can cut it down to meet your needs. It is made of a scratchy, high-friction material that grabs and holds the rug such that you don't need to worry about the rug sliding off of it, but the material has enough "squish" to make the rug it's supporting feel a little more luxurious. The bottom of the liner has a rubber backing perfect for gripping hardwood or laminate floors so that the whole arrangement doesn't slide around.

Exceeded expectations

This is a great pad for throw and such. It is easy to cut with kitchen shears or box knife. You can cut to your size and shape. The rug side is very roughly textured and grips the underside of all but the most slick undersides. The floor side is a rubbered texture that grips hardwood, vinyl, tile, and such very well. Smooth concrete isn’t as friendly. It’s not very thick so it doesn’t feel squishy like some.

Rugs stay

If you have hardwood floors, you need this product. This is a a great way to add a little cushion under area rugs that has the added benefit of being a rug gripper. The true test is when the dog ran over it it didn’t move. Very easy to cut to the size you need. Great value!

Great value cushioned rug gripper

I received a larger mat than I expected. However, after reading the instructions I saw that you cut it to whatever size you need. It was very easy to do this. I have and washable rug so it’s thin and this helped give it cushion and keep it from sliding.

I love it!

This is a very nice rug pad. I have sun room that extended into my backyard and under the floor is vacant. So the room gets really cold in the winter. Even though I have an area rug it is still cold. So this pad was a perfect solution. Durable. I am happy with it.

Just like any other rug pads, happy with it

This Rug mat is fantastic. I really like the fact that It has a rubberized underside to keep the rug from moving. The top side is soft felt and adds a little cushion to keep your rugs from wearing. Easy to cut to size as well!

Large Rug Mat

This pad is VERY well made. It’s extremely thick and heavy duty. I didn’t have to use rug tape to help hold it in place, which is nice because it seems like I’m always having to tape my rugs down to prevent them from moving. I especially like that I can cut this to size if needed. It did take a couple days for it to completely flatten out, but that’s because it’s so thick and was packaged very tightly.

Worth it!

It's huge, but the good thing is you can cut it down to size, so I will more than likely be able to use under more than one rug.  I like using rugpads as they provide that nonslip backing that sometimes rugs alone won't have.  This keeps my rug in place and works as it should.

Convenient

I have always used the type of rug gripper that is thin and an off-white color with the diamond shaped segments and holes in between. It serves its purpose but gets gross and dirty quickly and isn't easy to clean. It also seems to wear out over time and loses its "grippiness." I decided to give this product a try since it was different than anything I've used before and seemed to be a very high quality. That is absolutely true! This seems to be 2 layers - a grey fabric type top that the rug actually sits on, with a white rubbery backing that goes against the floor to keep the rug from slipping. This material is available in multiple different size options (at least is was when I made my order), so if you can afford it, I would recommend purchasing the largest size so you have plenty extra to cut to fit more rugs in the future. However, that brings me to the one downside about this product and the reason I left 4 stars instead of 5. It is very difficult to cut through. I used two different pairs of scissors, both very sharp, and still had difficulty cutting through it. Perhaps fabric scissors or another specialty pair of scissors would be a better option? I did eventually get through it and cut out the half-circle shape I needed for my rug, but it did take some time. A minor inconvenience, but definitely worth mentioning. I've also noticed the material under the rug is a bit creased still from the entire sheet being folded up, but I assume that will flatten out over time. Overall I am very satisfied with this product and would recommend it regardless of it being difficult to cut.

Rug Gripper

I had been searching for a rug pad to use with my wool hand knotted rug.  I have had this rug for 35 years and it was time for a new rug pad.  This rug pad has a soft rubber gripping side to use against the floor to prevent slipping.  The other side is "rough" feeling to keep the rug in place.  The only thing I did not like about the padding is you can only spot clean it.  It cannot be washed in a machine.

Nicely Designed Rug Pad

This is absolutely NOT a plush rug pad! If you are looking for a non- skid rug pad this will work perfectly- we have a drafty living room floor and the hardwoods stay cold in the winter- we were looking for a thick plush pad to help warm floors- it feels rubbery on both sides- did not help with insulating floor at all. Very disappointed. We bought the 9x12 %26 an 8x10- returned the unopened 8x10 but unfortunately we opened and laid out the 9x12 or we would have returned it.
