The seed covers a good area, and the grass has a nice coarse texture. Once it starts growing, it's impressive how well it holds up against drought and helps prevent erosion. In my opinion, the instructions for planting were clear and easy to follow, making the entire process straightforward.

Great deal but went quick my local Sam's ran out so I had to drive to Alpharetta. Even with the gas burned it still saved a bundle on several bags.

Great deal if for a brief time

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I tried to do as the product instructed & even got the fertilizer to go with the grass seed, even dug at the ground beforehand, I can't remember the correct word but I didn't just throw fertilizer & grass seed on my bare spots. Honestly it didn't grow hardly at all, BUT I think that's because of the way the water runs when it drains which is why we probably have bald spots, BUT I did add grass seed to toilet paper and IT WORKED wonderfully!!! So yes I'd recommend if you do it with the toilet paper method hahaha

I spread quite generously in several areas and watered as instructed to keep seed moist and much of it did sprout and looks good but significant amount seems not to have after over 2+ weeks so concerned I will have to reseed some slightly bare areas.  Just a bit of disappointment so why 1 less star.

Great but not excellent.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I used the Kentucky 31 Tall Fescue primarily on bare spots in our back yard. We struggle to grow grass there due, in part, to the many tree roots present. It germinated relatively quickly and I was pleased with the color and thickness. While it did not grow in all spots, I believe additional seedlings will produce the results that I desire. Overall, I'm very pleased with this product.

Disappointed in this seed. Seeded, covered lightly with straw (to protect from wind) and sprinkled daily, yet maybe three blades per square foot have germinated.

Kentucky 11 didn’t grow

Pathetic. Purchased in Wichita, KAN. 
The seed was put down with a verticutter and starter fertilizer in new topsoil and watered TWICE a day. You can see the "results" in the photos, which were taken 3 weeks after planting. I spent $280 between the seed and verticutter rental. Absolute waste of my time. I have had previous success on this exact lawn with more expensive K31 seed. This is what I get for trying to save a few bucks.

Terrible Results

I bought two bags of this and it was full of weed seed. Now I have to reseed and get rid of the weeds.
