My first knife set since I bought my Chicago Cutlery block set about 20 years ago.  What really attracted me to this type of set was the built in knife sharpener.  Amazing way to improve product functionality and a real benefit to the cook in the family.  Cutting with dull knives (remembering to sharpen) is dangerous, difficult to cut properly, and in the event of an accidental cut, a sharp knife cut is less severe.  Its a no brainer, assuming the knife construction quality is as good as conventional knife sets. What sold me on this set was a little research into the excellent construction, feel and balance of the knives BUT most importantly, I know that when Ninja goes into a market it is to fill a gap that the traditional market is not meeting or is doing so in a limited way.  And Ninja quality and effectiveness from my experience (I've bought the original Ninja food processor and the Ninja Coffee Bar with side frother) is excellent . So two weeks ago I gave them another chance to excel, and excel they did!  I love this set! FL

Class Act Ninja Knife Set Really Stands Out

This knife set comes with an attractive holder and 8 very sharp knives and a pair of scissors. It also has its own sharpening system to keep the knives and scissors sharp. I love this knife set.

I have these and bought them for my Son and my Daughter. We love them! We all love the Ninja Neverstick Anti-scratch pots and pans too. So far we love every Ninja product we have gotten.

Love Ninja Products

These are amazing! They are incredibly sharp so as with all knives you have to handle carefully. For myself, they a a little higher in price than what I have previously spent on my other knife set. That being said, these are an investment. Can't go wrong with them. I'm glad I purchased and have recommended to several people.

Great Set

I love, love, love my Ninja knives.  I cook a lot which means I chop a lot of foods.  I can't tell you how many knife sets I've bought in my lifetime.  Always trying to find a sharp knife.  Well I've bought my last set.  At long last, these knives are so sharp.  And I love the white ones.

Best set of knives I've ever bought.

Sharpest knives ever. I had one sitting on my drying mat (do not put in the dishwasher) and barely brushed my knuckle on one and bled profusely. I wish there were more of them or more room in the holder to add other knives but overall these are spendy but seem worth it.

So sharp!

Very happy with this purchased. I have been needing a new set for my 2nd home. Wanted to get another calaphon set like I already had but reviews are not good now that they are  made in china. Same with henkles brand. When I saw this on sale  I figured they would be okay for the price.  And they have exceeded my expectations.  Hopefully if I hand wash and dry they won't  rust.  You never want to put good knives in he dishwasher.

Extremely sharp

Overall I'm pleased with the product, especially at that price point! I've gone through many sets throughout the years & this is my favorite so far.

Dislikes:
- Shavings are left behind after sharpening
- Unit is large & occupies lots of counter space
- Handles on small knives are shaped too thin causing hands to slip onto the blade
- Inserting knives back into the unit isn't always effortless with the blade going into the plastic

Absolutely recommend for normal home kitchen use

Knives seem sharp and well made.  Handles were not all uniform in color--a few seemed faded as though stored in extreme heat. The block is gigantic because the sharpener is built in... would be more versatile if smaller so it would look nice on any part of the kitchen counter.

Oversized block limits positioning on my counter

I love this knife set.  Other than the bread and steak knives, each knife has it's own designated sharpener hole that are labeled with the knife's name.  I would have given it 5 stars, but the block is huge and takes up a lot of counter top space.

Excellent knives

I bought these knives 2 years ago when I bought a new house and they were trash after about 6 months. Constant sharpening, couldn't cut thick steaks or meats from day 1. I own Ninja pans, blenders, coffe bar, air fryers, and the knives just dont cut it (pun intended).
