This makes a lovely gift idea. I am waiting for them to sprout. it was easy to set up and looks great in my kitchen window.

Neat little idea...bought on deep discount sale mostly to reuse the jars.

Ok on sale

The seeds are organic but the nutrients supplied are chemically derived. Hydroponic growing for the most part is not considered organic due to the need for high levels of required nutrients.

I purchased this herb growing kit 2 weeks ago and set it up right away. The jars and basket seem like they're good quality. Lots of thought has gone into it and I love the idea, but it's been 2 weeks and not one seed of basil or mint have sprouted. I have experience growing both basil and mint. If I sowed the seeds in soil they would have definitely sprouted by now. 

I'll try to remember to update this review in another month.

I did everything according to the instructions. The basil is somewhat growing, I haven’t seen the mint. It’s easy to get it together but it’s too expensive for noting

I was very excited about this.  BUT I did everything according to the instructions and planted a month ago.  So far weak basil sprouts and NOTHING happened with the mint.  It seems like a lot of people are having this problem.  I would not recommend buying this.  I did reach out to the company and am waiting to hear back.
