My wife and I tried these election night. Instructions were easy and the puff pastries came out golden brown and crisp. I enjoyed the taste quite a bit and it did remind of French onion soup that I have had in the past. Well, with one exception. I had ZERO taste of cheese. That was the missing piece to replicate French Onion Soup. I probably wouldn't buy these again unless they amped up the cheese. Don't get me wrong, they were good but without the cheese taste you get from a classic French Onion Soup they were just good.

Good Onion Flavor

OMGosh these are so amazing. I bought 2 boxes and as soon as we got home I tried the along with my roommate’s and they are so tasty full of perfect flavor. It’s the best French onion soup you’ve ever had in a perfect light biscuit (not sure what y’all call them). If you haven’t tried them it’s a must!!!!! SAMS PLEASE KEEP THESE IN STOCK!!!! We went out and bought more boxes. Ohhhh …  I used the air fryer

It wasn't a bad little appetizer. It was very French oniony. The pastry was soft, flaky and buttery. Very delicious. The onion flavor kind of stays with you for a while though. 

I don't like that you only get 24 for $9.98. 
I feel that's an off number and I feel like you should get more for the price. 

I also think that they should come in a sort of resealable bag because if you are like me and my wife, it's just the 2 of us and there is no way we can eat 12 of those little squares so we had to put the uncooked in a ziplock bag to put back in the freezer.

French Onion Puff

I received a reimbursement for this product to leave an honest review. I loved these, my husband, not so much. He said they were too mushy. They are like a soft, square onion ring pillow. The smell is quite strong, so if you don't like the smell of onions, these are not for you. I happened to have liked the softness of the pastry. They are greasy when warmed up in the microwave. I cooked mine in the oven. I did not try them in a toaster oven or an air fryer, so not sure if they would crisp up if cooked that way. I have read some of the other reviews and saw where people had written the taste was strong. I did not think it was strong. I do NOT like raw onions and I don't normally like onions unless caramelized. I did like these though. I learned quickly that they stick to aluminum foil so make sure you spray with a cooking spray if you use foil.

Like a soft, square onion pillow

The sale price initially attracted me and after thinking about the crispy puff pastry and savory French onion soup, I realized this might be a good idea to bring to a party. So that is exactly what I did for a vision board party the last week of December.  

I chose to prepare these in the air fryer to make sure they obtained the optimal crisp. I wanted to make sure they did not overcook so I consistently checked on them and when they were browned enough I quickly snatched one from the tray.

It didn't miss! The crispiness from the puff pastry and the slight salty deep flavor of the filling paired perfectly. Before purchasing I showed the picture to my friend who was hosting and they didn't agree with me with it being the perfect choice for an appetizer. I shared one with them and they quickly changed their mind.  These ended up being a hit at the party and everyone went back for a seconds

Perfect Bite

I received a reimbursement for this product to leave an honest review. Honestly, I'm a person that hates soup. Any and all kinds of soup. I do not enjoy it. This though? This is good. If you bake it just right (I tried both air fryer and oven) the dough is crispy and flaky enough that you have a good crunch. The inside has a taste of french onion soup, but it's sweeter and has a hint of cheese taste as well

From a soup hater, it's good!

Such a delicious treat and so fast and easy.  And for those of you with kids that are picky about onions...they wont know they are eating onions.  They are chopped so fine its almost a paste.  If you close your eyes it will, in a way, make you think you are eating a bite of a Runza.  It did for me anyways.  But i really enjoyed these as a treat!

The cooking time was perfect as well.  Very affordably priced also.  Makes a great holiday appetizer or a light snack! Will definitely buy again!

Make sure to bake them the full time so they aren’t too doughy. Flavor was great and made for an easy and quick appetizer for the party.

Quick and easy appetizer

I received a reimbursement for this product to leave an honest review.  The product was tasty and a great party appetizer for a group. It tasted just like a french onion soup but in a pastry bite. I think the price was a bit high for the smallness of each pastry. Worked out to be 40 cents a piece however, as a special occasion or party appetizer I might buy again.  The pastry wasn't very crispy when I let them bake the maximum time so I let them bake an additional 2-3 minutes.  All in all, a nice bite, especially for the holidays.  My husband suggested I put a slice of filet mignon on the top for an even heartier bite.  Thought that was a good idea.

The pastry part was crispy. However, the taste of them was horrible. They left an awful taste in my mouth. I would definitely not purchase them again.
