Member’s Mark 100 Sheet Auto Feed Shredder

The Member’s Mark 100-sheet Auto Feed Shredder is a perfect hands-free shredder suitable for home or office use. What makes this unit really stand apart from other shredders is the auto-feed feature. Just turn on it, lift-up the auto-feed tray and load up to 100 sheets of standard paper into the tray and it will do the rest. Using 8 small rubber rollers, the unit will carefully grab each individual sheet and direct it into the shredding slot to be destroyed. This is very much like the way your laser printer or copier feeds paper to be printed. The photo sensor starts the shredding process and turns off the shredder once it has completed its task. Automatic forward and reverse modes reduce the risk of jams. You can also manually feed up to 10 sheets 20 lb. bond paper or Credit Card through the manual slot when the auto-feed works. With Micro-cut blades transform the documents into tiny 0.16 x 0.47 inches (4x12mm) unreadable pieces. A quiet DC motor delivers all the power you need at maximum capacity to continuously run your shredder to 30 minutes in the auto feed cycle, or 10 minutes in the manual feed cycle before the recommended cooling time of 45 minutes. This Member's Mark 100 Sheet Auto Feed Shredder is a great addition to anyone's home. It comes ready to use, just unwrapped and plug it in.  It is quick, quiet and user friendly!  I already used it to shred paper, credit cards and cds which it did with ease.  My favorite feature is the auto feeder, I just stacked my papers in the auto feeder and it quickly worked through the stack and with ease.  I even left staples and it didn't jam or stop!  It's super convenient having rollers on it, because I can roll it wherever I want and then store it back by my filing cabinet, it isn't very heavy to pick up either if you want to take it to another room.  I'm glad I got this and would recommend it.

Quiet and convenient Shredder!

This shredder seems like it will be a good upgrade to our previous one.  The ability to utilize the sheet feeder for a stack of old documents will be a great time saver.  We tested it with a small stack of paper via the sheet feeder and it was quick and rather quiet.  We also shredded an old credit card and there was no issue.  Small shred size and quite operation.  Win Win.

Great Shredder

This is a great shredder.  You can feed a good-size stack of papers and it will automatically feed and shred them.  I really like that you don't have to remove staples, but suggest you do if you want to recycle or compost.

Great shredder

Very good product.  It shreds fast and is not very loud considering the power and the amount of paper it can handle at one time.  I would recommend this for all my friends who work from home and need to be able to shred documents they do not want in their trash.

Legit shredder

This is a solid shredder! I like the auto load feature which allows you to put up to 100 sheets in and it shreds a few sheets at a time until finished.  The shredder isn’t too loud during operation, which is nice.  I also like that it’s on wheels which allows me to easily pull it closer to my desk when needed.

It sounds like a wonderful shredder, but it fails to meet up to the desired functions. The auto shredder does not work. We placed 10-20 sheets of paper in the auto feeder part and it refuses to shred any of it. It’s supposed to be able to shred up to 100 sheets at a time. We read the instructions several times just to make sure we were performing steps correctly. When using the manual part, it shreds a few sheets at a time, but leaves a nasty smoke smell and takes a really long time to shred just a few sheets. If someone only needed to shred a few papers here and there, I suppose it would be okay, but the size is extremely prohibitive at the current shred efficiency rate. The basket size is generous and the window on the side is nice, but if the shredder doesn’t work as intended, these nice features are defeated too. If the shredder worked as intended, it would be a good size and the wheels are nice, but it’s a shame that the shredder doesn’t work. I’m not sure if we ended up with a defective unit or if they are all like this one. I couldn’t justify purchasing this shredder again if it doesn’t as described.

Disappointing shredding efficiency

The shredder works good when you're using the manual feed slot but the auto feed is infuriating.  For something that's supposed to be auto feed, you really have to work the paper around to get the shredder to even start. I do like the large bin. It cuts down on trips to the trash can.  The shredder does chew through credit cards with ease.  I would easily rate it four stars or better if the auto feed worked.

Auto feed is not so auto

Absolute nightmare   I have two that don't work at all.  They don't even turn on anymore.  The first one never powered up and the second one powered up and I could not get it to shred paper at all.   Now it doesn't power up any more.  Lasted 3 days.  I love members Mark Products but this one does function at all.

Crosscut Conundrum

Right out of the box, this shredder is a beast.  It is substantial in size and the shredder bin holds 6 gallons of shredded paper.  The first problem I had was with the 100 sheet autofeed.  I only put about 20 sheets in and after 6-8 sheets, it went to overload. I opened the auto feed to clear it out and start over. I did this 4-5 times with same result.  The last time when I tried to clear it out the connecting plate lock broke and now it will not run despiet trying all of the troubleshooting tips.
