This set is solid. Table top is beautiful & chairs & coushins are comfy. This was delivered on pallets, so be prepared for it to take up space until you can assemble. It was placed in our driveway, so we had to take off a day of work to unbox & assemble so we'd have somewhere to park. Great set, just be prepared with at least two strong people to move table top.

Sturdy set

Ordered the Member's Mark Newcastle 7-Piece Rectangular Patio Dining Set and received it within a week (see my other review of the Newcastle 5-piece Chat Set that was ordered at the same time). I am very pleased with the product.

SHIPPING: The set comes in three boxes. All of the items were packed VERY WELL and arrived with no damage. Everything was shipped through a commercial shipping company (not UPS or FedEx). Boxes are labeled "Box 1 of 3," etc. Boxes were secured with glue, staples, and strapping. Opening the boxes takes effort and will require shop scissors or a utility blade. The contents are well-protected with more cardboard and polystyrene foam inserts. You will have a LOT of cardboard to recycle when you are finished. NOTE that the table top is packed in one large and very heavy box and you will need assistance moving it. I used two FRANKLIN 18 in. x 12 in. 1000 lb. Capacity Hardwood Dolly from Harbor Freight. Except for the table top, we unboxed everything in the garage and carried individual pieces through the house to the patio. If you don't have a garage, plan your delivery accordingly.

ASSEMBLY: All parts come in one large bag that is packed in Box 1. The parts for each respective component (chairs, table lets, etc.) are in individual blister packs and include lightweight, stamped metal tools. The included tools *may* be sufficient, but I chose to use my higher-quality wrenches and socket set. Power tools are not recommended, and I concur - it would be easy to over-torque bolts. READ THE INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY. When the instructions say to leave the bolts loose, do so. It will make it easier to line up the other bolts with the connection points in the furniture. You will then tighten ALL bolts when you complete that component. If you will be assembling on the floor, save a piece of cardboard to lie on the ground to protect the furniture from scratches. I used my portable work bench for the chairs. The tabletop will need to be placed face down when attaching the legs and then flipped upright. This is a two-person job due to both weight and size.

FUNCTION: As the description states, four of the chairs are standard chairs and two are swivel rockers. All of the chairs are comfortable and have proper heft, although the swivel chairs are a bit heavier. In practice, we find that we do not move the swivel chairs, we simply turn them to the side and stand. That should prevent some wear and tear on the base. The bases of the swivel chairs and the legs of the standard chairs have inserts to protect the flooring. We purchased a large outdoor rug to go under our table. Our patio has a stamped concrete pattern that has quite a bit of texture and we wanted to protect both the floor and the table legs. The legs of the table are height adjustable and easy to level. Like the chairs, the table is VERY sturdy. Covers are included for chairs and table, a nice plus.

Overall, we are very happy with our purchase. We shopped several of the large retailers in the area (north of Dallas) and either found unattractive product, lower quality, higher / much higher prices, or long delivery times. The chairs are comfortable and sturdy. The tabletop is beautiful. The top comes with a sealant applied and we are further protecting it with placemats and drink coasters. The faux wicker seems to be heavy and of high quality. The furniture frames are also heavy duty, and the result is sturdy furniture that should last for many years. We have a covered patio that will keep the rain and direct sun off of the furniture.

Nice patio set.

We were looking at this set for a while now. Once it went on sale we pulled the trigger as the price was unbeatable at $1099. Just put it together yesterday. The table when we ordered it we thought would be nice. Instead as I look at it today it is REALLY nice. Beat any of our expectations. It’s bigger the our old table and substantial. Heavy and the table top is beautiful, we love it. Especially at this price!

The chairs with the cushions are really comfortable. Been sitting in on all morning. The arm rests are wood (or faux wood can’t tell). But no metal so no worries about them heating up or getting to hot. Only thing is the seat back isn’t tall enough to rest your head on when you lean back. But not a big deal. The chair arms match the edging of the table so it’s a smart match.

Came in three boxes and the packaging is substantial. They do a great job of packing this so nothing breaks in transit. Only thing is it took as long to unpackaged everything as it did to put them together. lol Small issue. Comes with individual packages of hardware for each piece clearly marked. Great job with instructions also. No issues with assembly. Set even comes with a cover for when not in use.

We love it. Can’t imagine anyone putting this together and not liking this set. It’s beautiful, especially at $700 off right now! Will update this review in a few months to see how it wears as time goes on.

Beat expectations

Furniture is great…delivery company not so much! Ripped boxes, poor communication, didn’t follow timeline scheduled. Very disappointing!

Bought this a couple weeks ago.  It is a beautiful set and it is very comfy to sit at.  The set was well packaged, even though a couple boxes had big holes, all the parts inside were protected.  Assembly was pretty easy (but you'll need 2 people - the table is heavy).  I can't wait for summer to get some use out of it.  Hoping it holds up well.

Nice patio table set

Comfy chairs. Table has some weight so won't blow away with the wind. I like that the cover came with it. Was easy to assemble. So far we really like it!

Comfy chairs and nice sized table

Sturdy, well made, comfortable chairs, but cushion color is described as a "smoky gray".  The gray color doesn't coordinate well with the browns and grays of the wicker chairs and the table.  Cushion color should be more brownish.  Also, beware the table is extremely heavy.  Ours will have to remain on our deck throughout the winter months!

Good looking and well constructed

This is a very very heavy piece of furniture. Pro is it doesn’t move at all in the huge wind gusts. Con is if you have to carry this thing up stairs get some friends because it’s a beast. Chairs a super comfortable. Cover works great and stays put in windy conditions. 

The surface of the table is a little rougher than expected and finish/details could be a bit nicer. The welds show and aren’t smooth as a higher end table. But overall great value for the end of season price.
