Designed with a slimming silhouette, this cold-weather, lightweight warm jacket is a fashion necessity. The vertical side detail hugs the body and the chevron effect gives it its upscale look. This London Fog lightweight down blend jacket has Cold Weather rating. This garment can keep you warm up to -3F with moderate activity. With increased insulation, this garment could provide additional warmth. Without moderate activity, additional insulation protection may be needed. As shown through lab testing ( 560 fill power ). Fill power is the measure to loftless of the down product. It is used to describe the insulation value of the garment down. The higher the fill power the more air each ounce of down can trap, increasing the insulation ability to which the garment can perform. This London Fog Packable Down jacket fits true to size. Available in different sizes from size: small, medium, large, extra-large and xx-large. This garments are machine wash cold separately, gentle cycle preferred using mild detergent. The washing instructions are not to use fabric softener, tumble dry low turn inside out with 3 clear tennis balls that should be removed promptly.</p>

I love this coat! I was hesitant in getting a down jacket for fear I would feel puffy and not be able to move. I am thrilled to say it is soft and very light weight. I can move freely and stay cozy warm at the same time.

Very comfortable and warm

This jacket is light weight to carry but very warm. Rolls up to take up very little space in a suitcase.  The seams create a very slimming effect.

I like the way the hood lays on the back of the jacket so leave it on.  The neck zips up nicely on my neck so can see that it would be warm even without the hood.

I'm 5'5" &130 lbs and bought the Medium. There is plenty of room for a bulky sweater under the jacket, the length covers my behind. I usually have trouble with sleeves being long enough but these are perfect.

I haven't washed it yet so can't speak to how well that works.

Excellent Jacket in Every Way

The jacket is great. It is light weight yet keeps me warm. I wear it comfortably at home in the South and when I visit up North in New England & Canada.It is versatile & can be dressed up or down a bit. The hood is detachable--but why bother since it lies flat behind the neck. I like the length since it is a bit on the long side, which keeps me warmer and it does hide a multitude of sins. 
A great buy at a great price.

As light as air yet keeps you WARM

I love this winter coat! So much so I bought it for the second time! Its warm, but lightweight and packable. I love that the hood is removable too. You can't go wrong with this.

This JACKET is lightweight and packable. Its warm but not for frigid temperatures, its not a coat! I usually wear a medium @ 5'7 135 lb. This medium fits true to size. The Hood is spacious but needs cinch cord to help hold it on. I wear this jacket a lot i am pleased with my purchase.

Great jacket

For the price, this DOWN coat is a real bargain! I have down coats from Eddie Bauer, two coats from Marmot and a North Face down coat that are extremely well made, stuffed with down filling and semi waterproof. They are also very expensive coats. These coats are made for below zero weather. On the other hand, this beautiful red coat from London Fog is very warm. It holds up to our 30° days and 20° nights here in Chicago. While not water proof, it holds the heat even on drizzly days!  I just love the color! It's very hard to find a down coat in a beautiful bright red, and is one of the main reasons I bought it. (Some women collect shoes, I collect coats)  I was so surprised to find how thin yet warm it is. Not at all like the puffy down coats I am used to. This London Fog coat is also figure flattering! Imagine a down coat that is very warm, more than reasonably priced, cute and  figure flattering! I plan to buy one more if I can find it at the club in my area. The only thing I don't like and keeps me from giving 5 stars  is that the hood and collar are stuffed with polyester. But for under $40.00, you can't have everything!! I would absolutely recommend this coat to a friend and get compliments every time I wear it.  Buy this coat if you want a washable, figure flattering, light down coat for this winter. Don't let the absence of bulk fool you, this coat is warm!

Excellent down coat!

Lightweight but very warm. Previously bought the long version which I loved.  The short one does not come with the bag for packing it like the long one.

Very warm coat and super lightweight.  It does have a strange water fowl smell at room temperature though.

Warm and light

The seam at the bottom in the back was poorly sewn, causing all of the fill to come out when washed.  The bottom back section has no insulation now and made quite a mess in the washing machine.
