[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this 1 month ago & so far I am very pleased with this unit. My old one had an impeller so I stuck with one on my LG. So far this Washer has performed perfectly and I cannot believe how much quieter this one is compared to my old one. At first I thought I was going to have to stop using the 2X pods because this LG uses such little water, concern about too much suds, but using the “add an additional rinse cycle” resolved that issue. This LG is easy to use, quiet and has met all my expectations.

I have only had this washer for a few weeks but so far it's great.
It has a huge capacity that I can throw all my bedding in there and still have room, also has tons of features and I don't have to do laundry so often since it has such a big capacity. I haven't had a high efficiency washer before and was a little unsure how clean stuff would get without the agitator but it works great and all my clothes feel cleaner and smell better than my old washer.

Okay so here's the deal - most washers are okay, they do the job - mostly - but require so much user interaction that by the time you actually get the clothes washing, you're not too sure what takes more time - washing the clothes or getting the washer turned to the right settings, pressing all the right buttons and making sure that it will actually notify you when the cycle is done.  This is NOT the case with this washer.  First of all, it is sleek in its design - hey that's important!  Secondly, turn the dial, select the water temp and press the start button. That's it, no degree in washing machine science needed!  Thirdly, and most importantly, you don't have to do some form of weird yoga to actually remove the soap tray to clean it.  Washer gunk build up is not an urban legend!  It exists and not being able to clean the soap tray dispenser is gross. The soap tray is easy to remove, easy to clean and most importantly doesn't require a forty-step tutorial on how to reinsert it properly. Fourthly, IT IS QUIET!  There is little that is more annoying than having your washer run and thinking that at any moment the machine is actually going to come to life because it is so noisy and walks its way across the laundry room as it does it job.  Fifthly, it is sturdy.  I am a caregiver to an elderly parent, as a result, often there are large loads of laundry that have to be done - this washer can handle it without ever indicating there is a problem.  I never question if the washing machine is going to suddenly run up the white flag when a large load - large but not overloading the washer - is added to it.  That level of peace of mind is not only needed it is APPRECIATED!  Lastly, the cleaning cycle, when used properly - ACTUALLY WORKS!  Huh, imagine that, a washer that actually keeps itself clean when it is used properly.  Thank you LG for finally figuring out that consumers really don't want to have a degree in laundry room science and engineering to actually be able to effectively use necessary appliances.

Finally a dryer that is worth the money

Bought washer 61/2 months ago and loved it. About two weeks ago the sensor controlling the amount of water filling machine based on load size quit working. Overfills, water keeps filling until it gets to top of drum, continues overflowing drum and floods floor. Currently awaiting new part for repair. Thankful covered under 1 year warranty.

Very happy with it although it has a design flaw. The detergent dispenser drawer remains full of water after the wash has completed. So I need to remove it to dump the water after each wash or the water never drains out and causes an odor.

LG needs to provide operating manuals with their appliances that give more detail in the function of each option available on the control panel. The online website is not convenient to use nor does it give enough information how each option operates.  For example: it does not tell you that you cannot  wash two king blankets in tub at same time and use the bedding option.  The tub's sensory/balance can't handle that much wet bedding and when cycle is finished the blankets are still very soggy, therefore the  washer keeps repeating the spinning cycle and adding additional water in an effort to try and balance the blankets to get good spinning results.  It never happens, therefore the spinning cycle goes on and on.  I had to manually stop the washer, remove one blanket, then continue to spin them one at a time.  My laundry room was a mess when I pulled one soggy blanket out of the tub.  I had a melt down and was angry at LG for not explaining this could happen with the tub's sensory balance system.

Very little use, less than 2 months we service tech out.  Washer- After spin you can smell the motor. Very noisy!  Water doesn't drain all way out of soap area as should. Dryer- won't connect to app, Doesn't dry well, have to run heavy close/blankets multiple times (unless mini loads/I bought xl size). sensor drying doesn't detect actual dryness, no point in using. Also super noisy.
