[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Works like a dream!  The burners are clearly marked and very responsive; the middle "griddle" burner works very well!   I was anxious about the burner-covers covering the entire top, and that turns out to be  a really good feature.  Also, they are easy to clean.

The oven is accurate and so easy to keep clean!  I even love the "notifications" and reminders that I need to clean it or the stove top!  Yes, we enabled the wi-fi and can make certain the oven is off when we are away from home.

And an air fryer!  So much better than a stand-alone unit!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought a competitor's stove in July 2020.  After four in house service calls, followed by an upgraded model of the same stove, followed by all the same issues of the first stove being present in the second stove, my husband and I switched to the LRGL5823S.  It came with the same features, plus one WIFI (which we choose not to use).  WOW!  What a HUGE difference!!!  For us, this stove is PERFECT!!!  The control panel can be cleaned without all the buttons being pressed as you clean it!!!  The Convection / Air Fry Fan comes on ONLY WHEN you use those features!!!  The entire top of the stove can be CLEANED... even under the gas port rings (don't know what they are called) but we all know things spill and liquid can get under them.  The front flame knobs stay where they should, meaning, they DO NOT turn on accidentally by brushing up against them!!!!  Also, I never miss hearing the beep when the temperature is ready or when the time goes off because it has a chime instead!  When I hear it, I (Honestly) cannot help but SMILE!!!  I would never have thought of a stove as being "fun", however, THIS stove, is FUN!!!!!!!!

More Than Pleased

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Purchased this model after reviewing many brands and models. Selected this free standing range based on the $ value for the size (5.8 cubft. oven), griddle option and BTU output. It was also important to have the convection cooking option. The blue interior was a bonus (love that color in my kitchen's small appliances). 

It also has a storage drawer which is finished with a rounded edge on the interior so you don't injure your fingers. All other models we reviewed in person had blunt edges on their lower drawers - not good especially if you have kids who can easily get into the kitchen and cut their fingers if they pull out that drawer.

It cooks well. The BTU options were the most diverse (18k being the highest compared to other models at 15k) with a simmer burner and a removable griddle (easier to clean!). 

The only thing I would caution another buyer to think about is their tolerance and patience for cleaning the stove top. This stove does not seem to have been designed or tested by someone who had to clean it after each use. The burner grates and sub-grate surfaces always require extensive wiping to remove any signs of residue - even from a pot of boiling water for pasta. In contrast, the stainless steel surfaces are easy to clean with one wipe.

The oven is a wonderful size to fit a large turkey or several vegetable roasting pans (a big consideration for us). However, take caution, when pulling the racks outward to remove or check cooking in progress or to remove a pan. They bend in such a way that you must be prepared to catch the sliding baking pan/dish to prevent it from leaving the oven and landing on the floor. The racks are also too thinly constructed as they barely are able to hold up under the weight of one oval baking dish with vegetables. My prior stove/oven had very sturdy metal racks - no bending and no wobbling. The design would be better with a roll-out rack style and by increasing the gauge on the metal. If the racks were sturdier this range would rank as "great" rather than "average" for us.

The third consideration I discovered when testing roasting vegetables with a long handled fork. A carrot popped out and fell to the bottom of the oven ... into a rectangular hole running the depth of the oven ...  that cannot be accessed unless one unscrews the bottom plate to remove it! I presumed it must be something required for the convection component to function property as I have never in 61 years seen an oven that has openings on the bottom of it. Not sure how that will hold up over time and will need to be vigilant to avert any overspills from roasting or baking that might seep into that abyss.

I'm certain with time, and cleaning patience, this stove will do the job needed over the next two years in this house. For the two of us and entertaining friends it is fine. Yet it will not be the one I purchase for another kitchen renovation given that stove will see far more use and require a larger griddle space for making pannetone French toast.  Also, although I buy quality appliances for my tenant's kitchens, I would never inflict this one on those who love to cook often as the surfaces require too much attention to keep them clean. 

We will never use the blue tooth function to turn the stove on or off. Frankly, for safety reasons, especially households with children, we can't see the value of that option.

The air fryer may be used at some point. It's a good option to save counter or storage space for someone who uses a separate small air fryer appliance.

Racks bow.   Very dangerous. They sent me new ones which seem better but we will see when I put a turkey on again. The bottom drawer is extremely flimsy. I would probably give a 2 but LG tried to make it right. I would not buy again unless these two items were fixed.

Racks and drawer flimsy

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] For the second time in my 40 married years, I purchased a new range.  Buying a new range is not something that ccurs often so purchasing one meant that a new one was really needed.  I happened to see a great price on this gas range and couldn't walk away.  I purchased it and brought it home.  All was going well, it even included the pieces needed to change the range from natural gas to propane.  I was so excited until we started to put the rack in the oven and found the igniter broken.  I called the store an no one was working in the department so after waiting for 20 minutes on hold, I left a message.  I went through the Manuel and found a repair number and called it.  It took me a while to report the repair due to needing to register the warranty information along with having a difficult understanding the speaker due to a rooster crowing (I didn't know you could take your rooster to work with you). I texted pictures of the broken parts aong with model and serial number.  In the mean time I got a phone call from the store telling me I had to request repair on line, which I did along with sending pictures of the broken pieces.  Thankfully the repair company booked my repair 4 days after my purchase.  They arrived and had a repair part.  I was finally n business.  Upon talking to the repair person, I was not aware that after taking pictures and jumping through hoops trying to get repairs, the repair individuals do not get any of those photos, simply a concern.  Why waste my time taking pictures and sending them if they are not being sent to the repair individual to expedite the repair.   Other then that, the stove works well...now that it is actually working and I love the blue interioe.

New range

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My cakes and cookies do not bake as well as in my old oven. I have to leave them in the oven longer to get the middles cooked and that makes them dryer. And the clock and oven temperature display doesn't work, no matter how many times I unplug it. To reset it.

Disappointed

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased the unit 30 days ago. Within a few day of delivery and installation by a plumber, i noticed the smell of natural gas in my kitchen. I opened a service ticket, and 2 weeks later the tech arrived. After 2 visits by the tech, he finally determined the oven was leaking natural gas and needed a new valve. Lead time on the valve was another week.

I visited my retailer, and they replaced the stove for the same make/model.

Poor Quality control

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Brought the LG gas ranges in Nov 2020, was really excited to finally get on Feb 12th 2021–understand the delay was due to COVID.  However the clock on my NEW stove doesn't work.  Was told that I need a new control panel.  I have always purchased LG appliances but this experience was disappointing.  It will be interesting to see how long before it gets fixed.
