I bought this as a gift for a friend who loves Legos and rocks.   She was thrilled and put it together right away, added lights and the pic she sent looks so cool.  I am not a regular Legos buyer.  Honestly, I don't know who can afford them and I would never buy them except as a gift  for someone special.  She is special and she loved it so the $60 was worth it.

What a pretty set to display in your home.  What a unique Lego set.  This set is striking and worth every penny. The detail used to make these minerals are genius.  I knew I needed this once it was available.

Gorgeous Lego Set

I would say this was my favorite build ever. Besides loving the subject matter, it was satisfying and I marveled at how it came together --especially the amethyst geode. Truly beautiful. I also love that it can be displayed in many different ways and placed together or separately. I wish my dad were still alive to have joined me in the build. He would have loved this since we were rock hounds and collectors when I was growing up.

Mineral Collection worth keeping

My son is 20 years old but has always been a Lego lover.  He's been wanting this set and it didn't disappoint! He had fun building it and loves the final product.

Great for older kids

If you're a dedicated lego maniac and have a love for geology, this is the set for you. It was a blast to build from the first brick and looks great next to my work setup.

A geologists lego dream

Overall, the build was fun. Because it came with multiple direction booklets, I was able to split it, and I had 2 friends build with me. We each did a section. The others weren't as experienced as me. One had a little trouble, but I think that was skill level. We had a good time. The only issue we had was the colors in the booklets were off. It was almost like the printer was running out of ink. It was weird. I haven't seen that before. All in all, was a fun build and I would recommend.

Mineral Collection

I was excited for this set - it had such great potential. The end result was underwhelming, and surprise, surprise - pieces were missing... again. This is the 4th set in a year that has been missing pieces. If I could sent this back for a refund, I would. 3 out of the 6 minerals are nice, the remaining ones - look more like lumps of plastic that do not offer anything to the imagination. The stands are a cool idea, but poorly implemented and flimsy. Considering the price of this set - I cannot bring myself to take it apart and add the pieces to the spare Lego parts. Save your money for a better set or wait for this to go on sale.

Lackluster Set

I really cannot speak to overall satisfaction or quality, as this is a gift, although I assume because it is a Lego product it will meet all satisfaction.

This is by far the WORST booklet I've ever had to use. The colors of the parts are SO confusing. It's hard to tell blue from green, blue from purple. We guessed at a lot of parts and used extras that we have to complete it. That's my only complaint

Bad coloring

The people who finalized and approved this design should really find another line of work. This set looks really bad. Never been more disappointed. It’s taking everything in me to not turn down the gift, I just don’t want to be rude to the person who gifted it to me.
