JUST OUTSTNDING!  I'VE HAD BOURBON THAT COSTS 2 TO 3 TIMES MORE THAN WHAT I PAID FOR KC9 AT TOTAL WINE, AND THEY RANK FAR BEHIND KC9.  IT IS SIMPLY THE BEST BOURBON OUT THERE, FOR THE MONEY.

Knob Creek

The first sip came in warm and rich it brings in caramel and vanilla up front, followed by a toasted oak note that gave depth. There were also subtle nutty notes which made it feel more grounded and classic. At such a high proof I expected it to be harsh but it stayed smooth while carrying real weight. It’s bold balanced and easy to come back to.

I love the flavor of this bourbon! It is easy to drink on the rocks or straight. The finish is so smooth! The amber color is delightful and it is distilled to perfection.

When I started trying bourbon, Knob Creek quickly became one of my stand-out favorites for sipping at home or even when I'm out at a local restaurant. Well balanced sip with sweetness and a bit of bite.

The first sip hits boldly — you taste toasted oak, brown sugar, nuts, and toasted corn, carried by its 120 proof alcohol strength. The complexity is impressive: with water, layers of apricot, fig, and waffle-like sweetness emerge, balanced by oak and a touch of rye spice. The aftertaste lingers long — caramel and oak warmth slowly fade into a gentle rye-backed spice. In terms of value, this is exceptional: for a high-proof, nine-year-old single barrel bourbon, many reviewers call it a “bargain.” It’s not a casual sipper — the heat demands respect — but for those who appreciate bold, nuanced bourbons, it’s a standout.

It tastes amazing

I vastly appreciate the complexity of flavor presented by the Knob Creek 9 year. It starts with a "Jim Beam" nose and front-of-tongue flavor but separates itself with nutty undertones, pulled together with a caramel aftertaste. This is a great bourbon for people looking to expand their palate. I would put this up against the craft line of 99% of bourbon companies.

Wonderfully balanced and complex

Deep tobbaco dark chocolate and surprising hint of dark red fruit that isnt common in younger knob creek. A splurge bottle for collectors. Its remarkably savory and dense without being overly bitter

Not my favorite drink but a good value for its price point. Smoothish and a good value that you'd expect from a single barrel option. Again for its price I think it's a good option.

I have been buying this for the last couple of years. The first bottle was gifted to me by a neighbor whom I help with a project at his house. I've been purchasing for myself since. one large "rock" cube and a couple fingers worth in a glass and I am set for the evening.

Overall, it’s a well-made, flavorful bourbon that delivers depth and character. I’m giving it 4 out of 5 stars — excellent quality and value, just a bit bold for an everyday casual sip.

Bold, classic bourbon with rich oak and caramel—st

Bought the current "regular" knob creek thinking it was the same 9yo - contrary to the statement made on this website about how its made to the same profile as the previous 9yo i highly disagree. the body is significantly lower, and the spirit harsher. it neither has the richness or sapidity of the 9yo which i really admired. whilst i understand that bourbon demand has probably increased and knob creek has to make due with what they have in stock, this is not anywhere close to the original. is it a bad bourbon? no, but neither is it great and no better than jack daniel's or jim bean at this point.
