Our favorite seasoning for tri-tip! We prepare the night before with a generous amount covering the meat and wrap it in plastic wrap to cook the next evening.

Amazing seasoning, I've used it on everything so far a Chuck roast for a pot roast to grilled chicken thighs and I've also use it on eggs, Kinder seasonings always impress

Santa Maria blend rub

Family fave for carne and polo asada. I dry rub, but then put in a ziplock with a little olive oil and water to marinade for a day or so. For the chicken, I add some orange and lime, onion, a touch of garlic, and peppers to taste.

I picked up a bottle of Santa Maria seasoning by chance as one of the last fun grocery items to throw in my suitcase before catching a flight home to NZ last week, and I'm so glad I did!!! To think I almost put it back because I was concerned about the lemon content (not a big fan of lemon and pepper seasonings). I've only used it on chicken so far but man, I could eat pan fried chicken thighs with Santa Maria every day, and a little goes a long way too! Already stressed about the day I run out knowing I'll have to make a trip back to the US to stock up again 😭

Mice and big

This is more versatile than I first thought. I have used it on chicken and pork as well as broccoli. I was amazed.

Goes with more than just beef

Used a rub on a beautiful tri-tip and could barely eat it!  There's so much salt in this seasoning that it extinguishes all the flavor, even the bland granulated garlic, let alone the beef.  Dissapointing all around. 

I'm surprised how bad this really is, I've used several of their seasonings and they were very good.

Just no short cut to a great Santa Maria Tri-Tip, unfortunately.  I will go back to making my own Santa Maria rub.
