<p>KILZ® Drywall Primer &amp; Sealer is an interior use, water-based primer formula that reliably seals new uncoated drywall. It helps achieve a uniform, professional quality finish and saves time and money compared to using multiple coats of paint. KILZ Drywall is ready to spray, brush or roll. It is a fast drying, low odor, low VOC formula and is easy to clean-up with soap and water.</p> <h3>How to Use This Product</h3> <p>Use on new uncoated drywall only. Use under flat and low sheen paints only. Do not topcoat with glossy paint finishes. Cover all nail and screw heads with joint compound according to directions and sand to smooth surface.* Tape drywall and apply joint compound. Allow to fully cure according to directions prior to priming. Sand to smooth surface before priming. Wipe off dust with a damp cloth. Allow to dry thoroughly.</p> <p>* WARNING If you scrape, sand, or remove old paint, you may release lead dust. LEAD IS TOXIC. Contact the National Lead Information Center at 1-800-424-LEAD or log on to www.epa.gov.lead</p> <p>Eye protection is recommended. Use only when temperatures are between 50°F (10°C) and 90°F (32°C). Coverage is approximately 300 - 400 square feet per gallon depending on surface porosity. For airless spray applications, tip size should be .017” - .021” tip/60 mesh filter. May be tinted with up to 2 ounces of universal colorant per gallon. Glossy Surfaces: Not recommended. Please use KILZ 3® PREMIUM or KILZ 2®ALL-PURPOSE Primers. Masonry, Brick, Stucco and Plaster: Not recommended. Please use KILZ 3 PREMIUM or KILZ 2 ALL-PURPOSE Primers. Stainblocking: Not formulated to block stains - For stainblocking, use oil based primers like KILZ® ORIGINAL and water based primers like KILZ 2 ALL-PURPOSE or Dries to touch in 1 hour at 77°F (25°C) and 50% humidity. Application at lower temperatures, high humidity or poor ventilation will affect dry time.
