I used to buy a CD but this year, Sam"s Club stopped selling the CD version of the TurboTax. However, the download was smooth. When one works on the tax return, one should not feel any differnce from the CD version. The problem was the Intuit constantly tricks you into its online version and confuses you. Just pay attention. After you complete the download, close your browser and go to your computer to find the software to start the return.

This has nothing to do with Sam’s Club but this years’ TurboTax Premiere is not like it has been in past years. Not quite as easy to use as the past several years.

Slightly Disappointed - Not Like Prior Years

Normally when a seasonal product is advertized, its related discount is applied right away.  This year for some reason, tax season was approaching and turbotax was beginning to appear on shelves.  I waited several weeks before giving up on a discount and purchased the package.  Now I see that the price is reduced.  Seems like the strategy for sales was intentional - delaying any discount until the early purchasers bought.  Unprofessional so say the least!  I paid full price...

Purchased with scan and go left the store with out the product because there is no mechanism in place to stop you from leaving without your product when using scan and go perhaps something like when you get stopped for ID when you purchase alcohol needs to be started

I’ve done our taxes for years using TurboTax, including calculating taxes for a small business, farm income, and investment income, including income reported on K-1s. This year I bought TurboTax Premium because we had income reported on K-1s. Although they have always been tricky to enter, this year the program was particularly frustrating. I accessed help from TurboTax. At one point an agent suggested I pay an additional $60 for “expert tax assistance.”  As neither I nor the regular TurboTax assistant could understand how to enter the information, I did so. I spoke to 5 different “expert tax assistants.”  None of these people was able to understand how to enter the required information. The last suggested I pay for a  TurboTax CPA to complete my tax return. No thanks. I hired a local CPA. No more TurboTax for me.
