Can't say enough superlatives about this cake. The stunning look says a lot, but one bite and you realize you could not say enough. Very impressed with the quality, and the presentation is amazing.

Surpassed the $150 custom ordered cake

I had heard Sam’s club cake was really good. It was even better than I was expecting. I usually am not a fan of white cake. But honestly, it was the best I have  ever had. Others at our party said the same thing. It was also beautiful. I troes the. Chocolate at another event. It also was amazing.

The BEST cake

This cake exceeded expectations. It was beautiful and delicious. The decoration around the side is an edible wrap, but we wouldn't have known if we hadn't been able to see the seams. This was perfect for my parent's 50th wedding anniversary.

Exceeded Expectations!

Ordered this for our 50th anniversary party and put our original cake topper from our wedding cake that we sprayed gold. It was perfect and got so many compliments on it.

50th Anniversary cake

I ordered this cake for a retirement party, the color looked great for the theme and it tasted amazing. However, when I picked it up the design wrap around the outside of the cake was wrinkled and the icing was not smooth. I lady assisting me immediately apologized and took the cake to the back to quickly smooth it out. It wasn't perfect but it looked better and I was thankful for her help.

Delicious cake, cute design

Cake was beautiful, but, the edible paper around the cake could have been better secured.  It was lifting in some areas, bumpy areas, but not overly noticeable, but noticeable.  I decorate cakes, so I noticed big time.  Everyone enjoyed the cake, especially the birthday girl!!!  They have a plaque cutout on the cake in the picture, but they didn't have a plaque cutout on the cake, they just wrote the message on the cake.  Only 1 flower on the cake I received, it didn't have 2 like the photo.  I wish they would make the cake as they display it online.

About This Cake

Ordered this for grandson's 5th bday because he likes gold. The color was very dull and had a green tint to it. the edible film around the cake was not smooth and had bubbles all over. The piping around the top seemed to be falling off and was not joined properly. We had to make modifications so that it was presentable. As for the cake itself, the flavor was bland and almost tasted defrosted. We had ordered another cake a few months earlier and that much better. Not sure what went wrong on this one.

Not the quality I expected from Sam's Club

Didn’t look anything like the cake on the website.  The little stars on the side were green instead of gold. ??  Why would you use green icing?? Unfortunately, my husband picked up the cake and didn’t know what the cake was supposed to look like.  The cake also didn’t taste the way Sam’s Club cakes normally do. Not really moist either. This is the first time I was really disappointed with a Sam’s Club cake.

Disappointed

Our cake came with no plaque that I thought was for the writing.  When I picked up the cake, I looked at it and was shocked!  It looked like a kindergartener wrote on it.  They lady just shrugged, said they ran out of plaques and said she's not the one that writes on the cakes.

Unfortunately, I was already on my way to my parent's 50th anniversary and these were their cakes so I had to think of a quick fix.  I asked for a bag of sprinkles and the lady begrudgingly gave me some.  When I got home, I had to scrape off the writing and cover the top with the gold sprinkles I asked for.

Also, within an hour of having the cakes, the border on the side (an edible sheet) went from gold in color to green... on both cakes! 

I will not be ordering a cake from here again.  If you don't have good penmanship, you have a edible ink printer, use it!  If you run out of pieces for decoration, call the person that ordered.  Someone could have called and asked if it was ok to do a print out, instead.

I've worked in the food indusrty for most of my life.  If that was my bakery or I managed it, these cakes would not have passed quality control.
