The Black Walnuts we purchased were fresh and delicious, making them perfect for our holiday baking! The quantity was just right, allowing us to create a variety of treats without running out. The price was excellent for such quality walnuts, making it a great value. We’re thrilled with our purchase and will definitely buy them again for future baking needs! Fantastic Black Walnuts

These black walnuts are like the ones I used to eat as a child years ago.

Walnuts are excellent for your liver and great protein.

Quality Product

Great Flavor.  English walnuts do kot come even close yo the flavor that black walnuts add to baked goods.  Use them in fudge, cookies, and banana or zucchini breads.  For some reason, black walnuts are hard to find.  These are a great value at Sams club.

A baking staple

These are by far great walnuts and a good buy I think.  They smell and taste fresh,  very stale or old.  
I only use black walnuts in my Banana Bread,  in in my fudge, and in my cranberry salad.  They really bring out the taste in whatever their in. I bought  4  bags so far.

Baking season is here.

The first time I ate these I thought something was wrong. They taste a little fruity and slightly fermented.  I looked it up online and discovered the flavor IS different than normal farmed store bought English walnuts.  I like them in small batches and plan to use some in baking. Higher protein content is a plus too.

Wild walnut taste is different than English walnut

My sistet told me about these particular black walnuts and they live up to everything she said - you can even SMELL the quality that the are. I will only be buying this brand from now on.

Hammons Black Walnuts

I bought these walnuts in place of my usual Diamond brand.  The store was all out of them.  I didn't look close enough to see that they were black walnuts with a "bold flavor."  If you research black walnuts, they're described as "strong, earthy, bitter, woody, and musty."  That's exactly how I found them, and not in a good way.  They are also described as "unique and not for everyone."  I'm a bleu cheese lover, so I understand that you either like it or you don't.  There's no in-between.  I think it's the same for these walnuts.  Personally, I feel like I'd get sick if I ate a lot of them, because I agree with the other reviewers...they taste kind of rancid and bitter.  Sorry; in my opinion, "definitely not good."

Buyer Beware!!!

Had to return this item. When we opened bag and tasted them they had a bad smell and tasted terrible. Won't buy again.
