This nest works great would buy again and tell friends to get one

OUTSTANDING THERMOSTAT

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Nest thermostat is easy to install and operate.  The price on the website fluctuates quite frequently though depending on the third-party retailers that Walmart works with, which is a bit disappointing.

This purchase was an emergency because my old Nest thermostats failed because they were the early versions and no longer supported. Wallmart came through with the replacements in 2 days.

I use this thermostat on multiple homes and found it consistently. Excellent for controlling the furnace and air conditioning. However, it can be difficult to set up. If you don’t know what you’re doing. I would recommend hiring a professional.

Installation instructions lead you through the setup step by step . The Google Nest app is great it allows you to control your thermostat settings and set up schedules on your phone. The thermostat also gives you an option to use the Eco feature if you want.

Smart Thermostat

The thermostat is incredibly easy to use, unobtrusive and responds in an ergonomically friendly way. The companion Nest app makes everything easy and accessible (as well as from the physical dial on the unit). Professionally installed, so I know it's done right and will last. This unit has a great track record and it's replacing an old digital thermostat whose time is past. Great to be able to control the unit from away now, if I forget to set when leaving. I think the unit itself knows if no one is around and can set itself into an economy-mode. Nice!

Works Great For Now

I've had the Nest for about a month and think it's great.  Easy installation and operation as well as remote access to adjust home temperature.

Easy installation and immediate gratification, but beware: google has phased out support and some functions on earlier Nest devices, so purchase with caution.

Smartest of the Smarts

I have two thermostats ready so I prepared just the third and I’ve had nothing but trouble trying to set it up and get it to work. It keeps saying the batteries need to be recharged. It’s a piece of junk. I need to take it back. Would not recommend the generation three Nest thermostat

This is definitely not 3rd generation. It only works with the Nest app not Google Home app
