Directions are pretty straightforward. Nice not to have to run wires for the inside door opener.
Works great on both my chamberlain openers.

Extremely happy with this purchase.  I have the Ryobi GDO and was looking for a replacement wall opener and it was hard trying to find a replacement.  Came across the Universal Genie wall opener and decided the try it.  The price was right and it worked the first time and it works better than the original one.  I highly recommend it.

I needed a replacement for my inside the garage opener. This wireless one is great, opens both doors with a “positive” click on the buttons which I really love. Programming was a snap, it literally took a minute and that was for both doors. I was worried it wouldn’t be compatible with my (over 20 year) old garage door opener, but it works flawlessly. I wish I bought it years ago.

Saved me the time and trouble of running wires to a control by the overhead door and the entrance door to the house for two garage doors.

Overall it works, and as long as you are patient with the instructions it is good.

However, I am not really happy with the way the LED's work - whenever you press a button ONLY the *top* button lights up (in green), instead of the button that was pressed. There is no option on how to stop the blue LED from flashing every second or so (to indicate everything is OK). There is no description of what the LED indicators mean, the manually literally says something like "other sequences too", without actually explaining them. I definitely saw a bunch of random flashes that I did not understand while trying to program the thing.

As hard as I tried, I was not able to program the lower button without programing the "upper" buttons first (and to use a Genie system, not even for someone else's). I gave up, maybe I was doing something wrong, but it was frustrating.

Lastly, the blue "universal series" label is as ugly as it looks in the website - I was hoping it would look less bad in real life, but it really is an ugly box overall - but it works, and it allowed me to get rid of a bunch of wires, so I'm happy I got it overall (I only get to see it when I'm in the garage).

This crap doesn't work, followed the instructions for a chamberlain yellow button, everything goes OK until pressing the selected button 5 sec until the red led in the top button blinks and goes away, then press the learn button, press the selected button, the opener doesn't click, and never programs
