This double chocolate high protein drink is excellent tasting,  I would usually mix my own protein shake, but these convenient ready to go shakes for on the go, just refrigerate them and grab and go. The taste and quality are great. I will definitely be buying them again.

Great tasting!

I got these Evolve drinks because I'm thinking about going to a plant based diet. The drink tasted so amazing, it was kind of hard to believe it is plant based. Excellent chocolate flavor, I drank it ice cold and it was delicious.  It's a little high in carbs, but I think I will ignore that due to the incredible flavor.  It was thick, but not too thick and just enough chocolate flavor!!! I would definitely recommend these to anyone wanting a great protein drink that is plant based!!!

Incredibly Great Tasting Drink

I was pleasantly surprised with this protein drink. Although I wouldn't label it as double chocolate, it has a rich taste. The taste seemed to improve after a few drinks. It is velvety smooth and leaves a nice aftertaste. It is average in thickness and is very filling. There is a hint of the stevia, but not too much. 20g protein, 10g fiber, 7g net carbs, non-GMO, gluten-free (not labeled, but I have celiac disease and had no problems) and an awesome taste - what's not to like! I drink protein drinks often and this is one of the best!

Velvety Smooth Chocolate Delight

I got this chocolate protein shake, and it is delicious!! I can't believe it's a protein shake!  It taste just like a regular chocolate shake.  I will definitely be buying this again, because it is so delicious!!

Delicious Shake

I was given a single bottle of Evolve Double Chocolate Plant-Based Protein Shake to sample, so this review is based on first impressions only. As for taste, it's a pretty standard chocolate protein shake. Emphasis on ‘Protein'. We all know that slightly ‘off' taste of a protein shake, and this was no different. I didn't get a huge chocolate flavor from it, but could definitely tell it was meant to be chocolate. There is also that extremely sweet after taste standard with Protein Shakes. It seems slightly thinner than my regular protein shake, but has a very similar consistency to low-fat milk (see pour video). 

Now for the ingredients. I like that Evolve uses pea protein - though it does have 10 fewer grams of protein than my go-to protein shake. For me, the best feature was the 10 grams of Dietary Fiber - my go-to only has 1 gram. Ideally, that high protein, high fiber combo will keep you satiated longer, but as I only had 1 shake, I can't say for certain. 

Overall, my first impression is that this is a perfectly fine protein shake. I didn't like it enough to switch from my go-to, but might pick up a case of Evolve and supplement it in on occasion.

Great fiber, decent taste.

I was expecting a full case of this product, so that was a bit of a disappointment; not sure if I was only supposed to receive one individual bottle. The overall taste of the shake was good. There was no chalky aftertaste that it sometimes present in other drinks of this kind.  I do not tend to drink beverages with Stevia extract as it has caused problems in the past, however, if that is not a problem, I can see this shake as a good alternative to non-plant based drinks. The double chocolate flavor came through and I can see this as a great protein boost, especially for Vegans and Vegetarians. I prefer a different kind of taste that only artificial sweeteners can provide, which I offset with other healthy food choices.

Has a good taste!

While it did have a rich chocolate taste, there was a small after taste, which did not bother me, but my husband who does not like most things did not care for it at all. For me it is better tasting than most other diet shakes. It did hold off my appetite but only for a few hours. It is not something that I would buy in bulk. It is great that they support the National Park Foundation, a great charity to invest in.

Chocolate Taste

I tried this free sample which had great chocolate flavor.  The texture was very smooth, not chalky like some protein drinks.  Overall I would recommend this product as a vegan option with good flavor and only 140 calories and 17g of carbs.

Rich flavor

One thing I typically dislike about protein drinks is that they are super thick. This one has a great chocolate flavor and the consistency is just a little thicker than chocolate milk would be. However the one thing I can't get past is the chemical bitter flavor the Stevia gives this drink. If Stevia doesn't bother you then this is a great choice! If you're like me and Stevia tastes like floor cleaner then steer clear.

Tastes good and not overly thick

I tried the evolve double chocolate plant-based protein drink but didn't really care for it. It didn't taste overly filled with vitamins like a lot of these drinks due to me. It was a watery excessive chocolate flavor and I would have expected it to be creamy like a shake but it was not. I am not experienced at drinking protein shakes. I was hoping I could get some extra protein in my diet but this is just not for me. Others that I used to drinking protein shakes may enjoy it.

Not really my thing

The Evolve plant based protein shake tastes terrible to me. It has an aftertaste that doesn't stop. I had to drink something else just to get rid of the aftertaste. The nutritional value is seriously lacking when compared to other protein shakes. I know I will never get this brand again. Yuck!
