I bought two and they are thriving and healthy. They came in white pots but the actual plant is in a different one inside the white one. So be sure and take them out and pour the water out of the white pot or put a drainage hole in the bottom of it. Then I took one of my friends and they got 2 and replanted them in whisky barrels and they have got huge. Thanks Sam’s for having decent prices. Bc Lowe’s and Home Depot were so high and looked a lot worse.

Beautiful Hydrangeas

Beautiful hydrangeas and a great color selection. My store had white, blue, red, pink, and one called “midnight purple” which was the most beautiful dark purple I’ve ever seen. Very healthy and great size for the price. I saw someone left a one star review due to their plant dying because they didn’t check for drainage holes and overwatered it, which is an odd reason to leave a bad review since it’s your job to inspect the plant to determine how to care for it. Anyway - it comes in two pots. The inner pot is a standard black nursery pot with drainage holes but the outer pot has no drainage, and is more for decoration as well as to help hold moisture since hydrangeas love moist soil. You can either remove it from the outer pot to water, water it in the outer pot for a good deep soaking and just dump the excess water, or add your own drainage holes to the outer pot to make things easier.

Nice Hydrangeas

Just purchased today. Beautiful plant looks taken care of. Great price. I planted on the ground so it will come back each year. For those who leave it in the pot it comes in a standard nursery pot with drainage holes and a decorative pot that has no holes. Make sure you empty the water from the second pot after watering.

Large and beautiful. They come in a double pot so that there is a water reservoir and so will do best replanted I my opinion which is what we did using the large "wood" look pots from Sam's Club.

absolutely gorgeous blue. i had been wanting blue hydrangeas for a while and had to grab one while at my local store. however, after reading some of the reviews on here, i grew wary of the state of the plant. i took it out the decorative pot and the drainage pot had holes thankfully. what was not good was that the roots were coming out of said holes. i took the plant out of that pot and saw what was going on. the plant outgrew the 9in. pot it came in. solid root, hard to break the dirt, and some roots were about ready to surface. thankfully i just bought a 12in. pot, so i spent an hour total breaking up the root ball and repotting it into the new pot. it looks absolutely stunning now and i have less worries about her dying off soon.

The plant itself is beautiful and very nice size for the price. Be aware though, the advertised picture shows a blue/purple Hydrangea. I ordered 3 for curbside and got pink. Regardless, they are beautiful shades of pink however, just be aware color variation may occur

Beautiful Plant but be aware of color

Most of the plants were half dead in the store. I thought I picked 2 good ones, but was completely disappointed after getting them home and potting them! Worst plants I ever bought

Don't waste your money

I bought 2 plants.  One is gorgeous, but the other began dying immediately.  They had the same environment and care.
