My wife recommended I take a look at the Dwarf Lab telescope, I had discounted it when I first saw it. I operate a Lx200 Meade with limited success and didn't give much credit to the Dwarf.  I was mistaken. After reading several reviews I ordered a Dwarf Lad telescope. I actually was surprised that the price was discounted to $398. Set up was relatively easy and with some practice I have managed to comprehend the basics.  I would recommend watching a few YouTube videos for clarity. Be aware there have been many software updates so the graphics may be different. I like the compactness and the tracking abilities. I still have much to learn but I am extremely satisfied with the purchase.

Little giant

We love it.  We bought it to view the stars differently but ended up using it to record the eclipse as well.  It was awesome.  I wouldn't hesitate to buy this at this price point.

This DWARF is the bomb

Items came as described in quick order. Device is intuitive and a breeze to set-up. After charging it up, I was taking pictures of the sun & moon on the first day. Now we are all ready for the solar eclipse!!

Easy to use!

I love my DWARF II and really can't believe the images I get off this telescope.  Taking deep space photos is a bit more challenging and requires some extra work with what settings to have in place but Moon shots and Sun shots are extremely easy to pull off.  Love this thing, hope to upgrade to the DWARF III in the future.

Easy to transport, finds the star that you are wanting to view and focuses it for you. Faster than you can figure what it is doing!, you see the desired object on your phone.

It Found My Star

Mostly happy with the purchase. It has some connection issues, but nowadays what device doesn't. It's pretty decent but it does need work, but it is money well spent. I'm learning to play with it for nature viewing and as I learned I will look at the stars 🌌and galaxies. As well as a few comets. Missed out on the eclipse because of technical difficulties with connections. But it is very cool to check out sunspots and the moon at night. Enjoy!

Worth the money

This an amazing telescope! Two days after I purchased I got beautiful photos of the Pons-Brooks comet. A few days later I traveled to Kentucky to video the eclipse. It worked flawlessly! Yes, it required some reading and practice and watching some instruction videos but it was well worth it. I am purchasing a second one to send to my brother-in-law as a thank you gift for putting my family up for the eclipse visit. Spent a  lot less on this than I did for the two junk telescopes I purchased for comet a few years ago and sent back because they were like kids toys.

WOW It's That Good

We were excited to use the Dwaft for the eclipse. I practiced once using my iPhone 15 and it worked. 
 We could not get it to connect to the iPhone 15 for the eclipse.  Would connect to the units wifi about once every 20 attempts and then disconnect.  I had the Dwaft all packed up and ready to return to Sam's club.  But then I read that you should try to use an iPad.  The iPad worked every time.  We will keep for a few more weeks and then decide if we will return it.

Use an iPad

I bought this telescope for the solar eclipse. The set up was rather complicated, it took time to recognize the SD card which by the way is only 64 MB capacity and up to 510 MB, there is no usable internal memory either. Most smart phones these days have internal memories much larger and allow for SD cards in the gigabyte range. A device with such a size and give the intended use should have a large internal memory and should allow the largest SD cards on the market.
The software is very buggy and the phone interface not intuitive. The picture resolution is also rather low.
I am seriously considering returning this item even though I hate being seen like an opportunistic buyer who use a thing once and return it. It is just that I don't think this is a product worth buying even at a much lower price.
