When I set up the printer,it actually scared me! I sent a Windows test page, and BAM!! No wait,no warmup just print! It seemed the that warmup and first copy are faster than advertised! So far I love it! (of course,get with me in a year, and we will see) All prints are sharp. I also have 2 CANON color inkjets. If I have any complaints. it is the same with this printer ant others: the cost of consumables is WAY TOO HIGH! Please start lowering the price to reasonable levels. You'll thank me later!

Great all in one!

I received a free Canon imageCLASS MF244dw multifunction printer in exchange for writing this review. This printer is extremely efficient. The printing is actually my favorite feature because it provides high quality printing, with a rapid page per minute print time. Although the assembly of this device was relatively simple, installing the drivers onto a PC was difficult. However, installing drivers to a Mac operating system was very easy. The product exceeds my expectations because it offers a professional printing quality in addition to the scan and copy functions. I would definitely recommend this product to friends and family. The only improvement I would like to see is a link to the printer`s drivers provided my Canon in the instruction manual, with simple download instructions

Too complicated + Too many options

I bought this machine to replace my Pixma 860. It comes close but the scanning feature is poor in comparison. The Pixma 860 scanning software allowed me to scan a document and convert to text. It was the best printer I ever had because of this feature. The 244dw does not. Yes, current editing software will convert a PDF to text bu that is no excuse for not including this capability in the software. JPEG and Tiff does not do it for me. Sorry. If you want to scan and convert to text I would not recommend this printer

Scanning is an issue for me

I've only had it less than 3 months (shipped 12/16/16) and I've had to call twice to have them troubleshoot it to print. This would be the 3rd but of course I'm working after hours and can't print. I have a similar Canon model at our shop and have only called once in over a year.

Another late night job and it won't print...again

Beware if you are using this machine to scan documents as it scans them crooked if you use the document feeder. If you are just using it to print then it's ok. However, there is serious flaw with this machine that renders it unable to scan or copy documents without the output being crooked.

Crooked Scanning

I'm very disappointed. 
In most cases all I need is just several scanned docs to be transferred to my Mac - this is something which never works right away. And I know the reason -  poor drivers quality. Cannon software is just buggy  and they don't care about this. 
I have to restart it, cancel jobs several time, get tons of  errors before this thing starts scanning remotely. And you'll repeat the nasty procedure the very next day again - waste of time !
