Gave it 5 stars but the wife bought 2 of the jump starters one for me and one for my grandson.  Mine has a problem and I am going to have to return it.  I charges up just fine, then when you unplug it discharges itself back down in about 4 or 5 hours.  My grandson's one works just fine, guess I just got a bad one. My luck!

Defective one out of two

This jump starter from CAT is really great.  You need to charge it up before using so it is ready to go.  We have a Bobcat that is very hard to start. Fter the Jump Starter had a full charge, we hooked it up to the Bobcat and it started up immediately. This is a powerful piece of equipment to have on hand.

We love our 12 Volt Jump Starter...it's a life saver. It has a tough and rugged exterior and a built-in battery status LED indicator. It's always ready to bail us out of a bind and also has an accessory outlet to charge our phones or run other devices. We take it everywhere!!!

I was so excited to get this wonderful device - though my box says its a CAT CJ3000 ?  Either way this jump starter is perfect for our family! My husband's work vehicle likes to be fussy about where the ignition sits- so we have to jump her.back to life often! This will be perfect for that even if no one else is around with a car to give a jump. The other thing I am truly excited to do is take this camping. We camp primitive and this sturdy jumper will be great to keep our cell phones charged, in case of emergency. The red blinking SOS will be a great benefit too in case of emergency to help guide rescue crews to us. The normal white light is bright enough to light the area to change a flat tire.  Excited to try it out and have it in case of emergency.

CAT CJ3000 12V Jump Starter

CAT 2000 Peak Amp Jump Starter is absolutely fantastic!  We use batteries for everything and this compact jump started has saved us!  We are boaters and have a ski boat and pontoon.  We have used this multiple times saving us from getting towed when we have issues!  Light, easy and compact to keep right on the boats!  Packs a great punch and fires the boats right up!  I highly recommend!

CAT 2000 Peak Amp Jump Start

The CAT3000 Jump Starter is a great security item to have in the garage or in your vehicle as you travel.  This light weight unit was powerful enough to jump start my pickup in the photo with no problems.  The side light and flasher light will be handing if needed at night to be seen on the side of the road.  It also has a 120v outlet that comes in handing.  I used to with an small pump to inflate some pool inflatables while on vacation.

Can jump start your truck and inflate some rafts

This CAT jump box was an absolute Godsend when I needed it when I had a dead battery and my husband was out of town recently. The size is larger than any others I’ve seen but I believe it’s because it packs more power. It did not let me down!  Using it one time when you’re stranded is worth any cost without having to wait for help.

Great in your time of need

The unit feels heavy and quite substantial, however, it would not accept/hold a charge.  The full panel of lights (red, yellow and green) never lit, while charging or after a couple of days of being charged.

Would Not Accept/Hold a Charge

Does not hold a charge. Indicator shows "yellow" on red/ yellow/ green scale. when plugged in to charge, indicator shows red. can leave it a couple hours,  a couple days, a couple weeks - no matter. never changes. LED "area light" (which is weaker than my cell phone) and red LED "emergency lights" (which are literaly 3 weak LED bulbs in the opposite side as the white"area light") both work. Connect it to a cat and try to use it? Everything Immediately dims until rapidly turning off. My dad bought one off of Amazon that did the same thing. it's pure junk that bought the CAT name

This item does not come with a charge cord.  While other CAT jump starter devices do.  This was an expensive device, I would never have purchased it, if I new it came so poorly supported.  And I would never purchase it as a gift.  Stay away from this product!
