Great present

This is a great hummingbird feeder!  Super easy right out of the box.  You just need to charge it fully, add the perch, and add some homemade syrup (REALLY easy to make; store-bought is silly expensive).  This feeder comes with lifetime AI/bird identification and a solar panel.  I've opted not to use the panel because I will have to mount it too far from the feeder and will have a hanging wire.  Since I have to bring it in occasionally to clean and change the syrup, it will be easy enough to charge up at the same time.

After a bit of time learning the app, I find it very easy to use.  You are notified when you have visitors and can open the app to see current and past videos and snapshots.  Because I have other Birdfy devices, I can tell you that the company constantly updates the app with great improvements.

I live in Southern California and we get hummingbirds all year long so I'm happy to add this feeder to my suite of Birdfy devices.

This Birdfy Hummingbird Feeder is easy to assemble right out of the box.  Charging is simple and includes a solar panel to keep the feeder charged outside.  The app is fairly intuitive to navigate and very easy to connect your feeder and set up your alerts.  I appreciate that this feeder comes with two different size brushes to help keep everything clean for the birds.  While most of our hummingbirds have migrated south for the winter, I am excited to welcome them back this spring with this new feeder!

Easy to Get Started

Like the other Birdfy products that I am using (which includes the Birdfy Feeder, the Birdfy Feeder Rookie and the Birdfy Bath Pro), the outdoor assembly and installation for the Birdfy Hum Feeder Duo is straightforward and easy to accomplish.  Similarly, the pairing of the Hum Feeder Duo to the Birdfy App with my other devices is a quick and smooth process.  Currently in the Northeast, hummingbirds such as the ruby-throated humming bird, have already begun their fall migration.  So no Birdfy Hum Feeder Duo visits can be expected until next springtime.  But certainly I am looking forward to the expected activity to be captured by the Birdfy Hum Feeder Duo.

I was gifted an original Birdfy feeder for Christmas last year and it's been such a joy to see all the birds that stop by to eat. I ended up buying the Birdfy Nest Polygon in the spring so my daughter and I could watch the progress of birds nesting in our yard. When I saw this hummingbird feeder I knew we had to add it to our Birdfy collection. I'm so excited for spring so we can capture the little hummingbirds from two angles when they stop by our yard. We've always enjoyed birds in our yard and these Birdfy products have made birdwatching so much more fun and educational for our family.

Humming with joy

I've been eyeing this product for a little while now. This is now my 3rd Birdfy product.Fantastic build quality as always. Setup is super easy, and the video quality is very clear. The dual angle camera is a great feature. Highly recommend to anyone looking to view some hummingbirds up close!

Smart Hummingbird Feeder

I previously purchased the Birdfy Bamboo feeder and am very happy with that. So when I saw the Dual Camera Hummingbird feeder I thought it would be a great addition for bird watching. Having the included lifetime AI bird identification with cloud storage of videos makes this feeder a great value. It is nice to get notifications and videos whenever a bird is on the feeder. The app also allows you to customize the notifications to specific birds and/or new birds. That way when the feeder gets really busy you aren't getting constant notifications for birds you have already seem multiple times.

This review is for the Birdfy Hum Feeder Duo. This summer I kludged together a hummingbird cam by mounting a birdfy cam next to a regular hanging hummingbird feeder. That worked, just not very well, sometimes the hummingbirds were too far away and blurry or would not be in frame. As the camera wasn't attached to the feeder when the wind would pick up the feeder would sway in the wind and I'd get motion alerts. This feeder appears to fix all of these issues. It has two cameras, one that looks directly at the feeding flowers and the second looks along the side of the flowers. Both cameras appear clearer and a higher resolution than my other birdfy feeders. Additionally they display temp and humidity as an overlay. The solar panel is highly recommended. I have one with my birdfy bamboo feeder and, here in sunny Colorado, I've never had to bring it in to charge. I did *not* have a solar panel on my diy hummingbird cam, and it was a bit tedious to have to frame up the feeder again after every charge. 

As with the other birdfy products I think satisfaction will depend a lot on wifi coverage and a bit of tech savvy. My initial attempt at setup did not work, I suspect I waited too long between charging the battery and starting the setup process. My second try I charged it overnight and then started setup immediately after unplugging it and was successful. The unit did ask for a few firmware updates that took some time. As for wifi, you'll need 2.4Ghz coverage and be able to place it somewhere there are birds and the signal will reach. The feeder bottle has a recessed ant moat on the top of the feeder bottle and the solar panel came with one as well, both very useful. It also came with various mounting options and cleaning brushes for the flowers and bottle.

My only caution would be giving this as a gift for someone who isn't great with technology. If you can be there to help them assemble it, get it on their wifi and hang it nearby, then it will likely be enjoyable for them. If you're considering it for a relative who you won't be able to help in person and hasn't upgraded their router in 20 years (do they even know the password..what's a router?), you may want to hold off.
