On my second night in the Alumabode, I encountered 50 mph gusts in Iowa, followed by 40 mph gusts and snow on a frigid North Dakota evening during my third stay. Despite the chilly weather, my 0° sleeping bag and 700 fill climbing blankets kept me cozy and warm. This gave me the confidence to face the windy conditions that awaited me during my week and a half in Montana. The Alumabode's build quality, design, and fit and finish are outstanding, making it an ideal choice for the FJ Cruiser on which it's mounted. Although some people have experienced issues with the foam mattress being too soft in the past, I found ours to be too hard. However, we're currently looking into other options. All in all, the Alumabode is a fantastic choice for outdoor adventurers.

I have it installed on my vehicle and it looks good. I haven't used it yet, just set it up a couple of times. Once you adjust the locking straps, it goes up easily. Inside, it's well-made and cozy. The only annoying part is tucking the tent inside the covers and opening the strap clamps at an awkward height. That's the design, and I'm not sure it could be improved. Still, no regrets. Looking forward to using it this summer and on my eventual expedition.

I invested in the Bivvyy to enable me to embark on winter travels. And it did not disappoint. Recently, I set off on a 2,700 mile journey in my Subaru Outback, with the Bivvyy in tow. During my stay at a campsite in Kansas, I encountered winds of up to 40 mph and temperatures as low as 15 degrees, but the Bivvyy provided the necessary warmth and shelter. Even in Colorado, where temperatures were even lower, I was able to sleep soundly with the help of my down sleeping bag and mattress. Although my gas mileage dropped by 2mpg, I couldn't be happier with my purchase of the reliable and efficient Bivvyy.

I just got the tent a few days ago and have not slept in it but the overall construction is very nice. We opened it up and the materials look great, it pops right up with very little effort. I’m looking forward to permanently mounting it and giving it a try. I think I will add a large bungee around the outside (that you can just lift up to put pressure on the tent material) so you don’t have to deal with any materials sticking out when closing it. It’s very slim-line and compact. Nice tent.

If you're somewhat mechanically inclined, you probably won't need the instructions to assemble this. However, I recommend removing the cover, mattress, and rain fly if you're installing it solo; otherwise, get some help. I installed it on Thule bars, which are strong enough to hold it. The hardware is aluminum, and the bolts are steel, but be careful not to strip the slides by over-tightening or using an impact wrench. This product is fantastic, well-built, and I have had zero problems and no complaints.

I purchased a soft rooftop tent for a cross-country road trip and it was the best decision I made. The tent provided a comfortable and secure place to sleep every night, no matter where we stopped. It's also surprisingly roomy and has plenty of storage space.

I can't say enough-it is awesome! After years of pitching ground tents with various poles, stakes, and strings, and always struggling to find a comfortable spot, this tent is a game-changer. Mounting it isn't too bad with some help since it's heavy. Once mounted, just drive to your spot, unzip the cover, unfold it, insert a few rods in the window covers if desired, and you're ready to sleep. The included pad is comfortable, and setup only takes minutes. It's great waking up refreshed and off the ground. Packing it up is just as easy, giving you more time to enjoy the outdoors. The quality is excellent. We bought this for our son's Jeep as a graduation gift, and now I want one for our Suburban. Works great, sleeps great, looks great. Highly recommended.

Purchased this tent a few weeks ago and it's been perfect on a couple of trips. I really like its style-it's lightweight and spacious enough for 2 adults and one or two small children. Setup and takedown are easy, taking just five minutes. There are a few minor adjustments I would suggest, particularly with the awning poles at the front, where the holes are starting to wear out. The mattress isn't the best, but adding a memory foam topper improved comfort after the first night. Overall, we highly recommend this tent!

I've tried a few different rooftop tents over the years, but this one is my favorite. It's super easy to set up and take down, and it feels really secure when you're sleeping in it. I also love the hardshell design, which makes it really durable and weather-resistant. Overall, a great investment!

The included mattress is nice, and though the ladder is a bit flimsy, the product overall is good. It-s pricey for a college student, but durable with no signs of damage, so I-m happy. It can fit 4 people depending on their size, but 3 comfortably.
                    During installation, set it back from the truck cab, or the tent poles won't fit to hold the wing open.
