Spraying is only done when necessary, not on a calendar, and never after August first. The number of tractor passes is kept to a minimum, protecting the integrity of the root structures and avoiding compacting the soil. Hope Family Wines works actively with the Central Coast Vineyard Team to promote best practices in the vineyards we work with. We also use the self-assessment tools put together by the Wine Institute and the California Association of Winegrape Growers to gauge progress and identify areas for improvement over time. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Austin Robles Cabernet Sauvignon is not what you probably expect from a Cab, but in a good way.  Very well balanced, light, and fresh, this is a cab that requires no food at all… absolutely thoroughly enjoyable all on its own.  Elegant without being pretentious, I would serve this with cuddling up on the couch with Netflix (and your SO or someone you’d like to become your SO).  If you must serve with food, think light fare… salad of baby greens, dried cherries, walnuts, and goat cheese.  Or, partner with seafood or chicken breast prepared w/spring vegetables (cooked al dente) and fresh herbs (think Basil or Tarragon).

Not your typical Cab

Great for a relaxing evening by the fire.  I could taste a hint of vanilla and it had no acidity.  This wine is so easy to drink!

Great cab for the price

This cab is on the sweeter side, with a good body and bold fruit flavors. We received this bottle as part of a promo and we'll be going back for more.

Excellent Flavor, Excellent Value

I liked the price point for what it was. I also loved the flavor of it!  I found it to be really smooth.   I ended up going back for more!  I recommend this one for anyone in the market for a nice cab!

I pair this wine with steak and vegetables. This wine has the aroma of dark fruit, fresh vanilla bean, and a little hind of coffee. On my palette, I taste the dark fruit flavor, sweet oak, acidity and dusty tannins at the end. This wine pair well with my steak. It is an affordable wine. Highly recommended and I love it.

Great weekday wine

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This was the perfect wine to sip on a cool, fall evening. I has such a beautiful deep purple color 🍷 Lots of dark fruit flavors with a bit of vanilla and some earthiness. It’s smooth, easy to drink wine and is a great bottle to get for the price! I would have expected it to cost more!
(It even caught the attention of our pups, though they were less sure about than we were)
