So far, so good. Just a few weeks since setup, and it has had great range and stability.  Using for whole home, with mostly Apple products (iPhones, iPads, Apple TVs, HomePods).  I still have the secondary unit about 6 feet from the main router—the good news being that I haven’t located any weak or dead spots in our house (about 1850 sq/ft, two floors, plus 900 sq/ft basement). I will update my review if any issues arise.

Well designed, Easy to use. One step can be added in the install. This is back the config of the previous router, if it was another Asus. That saves a lot of trouble. The Quick-Start guide needs to be written by an English speaking person. The sequence of the steps has to be very logical.

The best, the only.

At first I thought that these two separate units would not give me WiFi and internet coverage but to my surprise it covered it all.

Easy to set up out of the box.  The App was easy to understand and provided complete instruction for setting up a two-unit system.  So far, we have doubled our download speed with Xfinity and have had no drop off or disconnections of service.  Good coverage for 3000 sq. ft. house and separate building studio apartment.

Big improvement over 4-ye Linksys router

So far so good.  I really like them, it is easy to add devices and I like the interface.  I am not a geek and have been working around IT for quite sometime.  I thought that the setup would be a little less clunky, but I got through it.  I am just hoping that these last longer than the last ASUS devices which was three years.

ZenWiFi XT9

Was easy for me to set up.  Im not afraid to research how to optimize my tech.  But if you just want a plug n play I'd look else where.

Fast and works well.  Plug n pmay?  No.

Setup took only minutes, including firmware updates.  Coverage is excellent.  Easily outpaces my provider’s speed.  I have a mix of wired and wireless network devices connected.  I kept my old network password and over 25 devices from lights to computers connected flawlessly.  Mix of Windows, Linux and Apple devices.

These XT9s are very good.  They were easy to set up and seamlessly replaced my previous router system in my network while improving my wired and wireless speeds.  The only issue I have with ASUS is the WebGui that's offered for these XT9s.  It seems like a "WebGui Lite" that's missing an awful lot of features that it should have.  I watched a number of videos while researching these before purchasing and every single one of them showed more options on the WebGui while confirming that the WebGui was a more advanced way of managing the router with more options than the ASUS app.  This was a BIG selling point for me with these XT9s as I was planning on just using the WebGui for management after just using the ASUS app for setting these XT9s up.  But, that's just not an option when so many things have been removed from the WebGui altogether.  A VERY poor decision by ASUS that should be reversed with future firmware updates ASAP.  So, only 4 out of 5 stars from me ASUS.

ASUS ZenWiFi XT9

Overall, excellent coverage and easy set up for the router. The mesh router was a bear to set up. Even though it's supposed to be automatic, it isn't. Eventually, after a few hours, I was able to get the mesh router to join the network. Word to the wise: Once you set it up, back up the configuration in case you want to make some additional adjustments--it's quite finicky.

I’ve had a three-node Asus mesh network for several years and the coverage has been quite good.  I now have these guys and one of the older units still out in the garage.  Ring cameras which did need 15 seconds to load now do so in two.  Always.  150-175mbps thru a VPN now is 350-450mbps thru the same VPN.  Setup was simple and I’ve encountered nothing disappointing.  I would recommend to friends and family.

Major Upgrade

Poor connectivity.  I loved the included app and security services,  but devices (especially 2.4mHz) kept dropping connection.
