We bought ours and we love it because it powers our entire cabin! It’s whisper quiet so I don’t know what the other review is talking about. The loudest I’ve ever hear it, it’s maybe slightly quieter than a computer running. My bathroom fan is like 10 times louder. I get over an entire day with the F3800/Expansion battery and we plan on adding one more expansion battery.

F3800 was delivered quickly, bought to be used primarily as a power source for a 220 volt boat hoist and for welding applications. Have not had the opportunity to fully evaluate for each use however it is up and running and will also be used in the event of a house power outage. Glad it has wheels, as it is heavy if you need to lift it.

220 power source

We seldom have power outages and they rarely last more than a few hours. This is exactly what I want to avoid gassing up and moving my heavy generator outside to keep our essentials powered. I can always use that as a back when long outages occur. Only wish I had bought the combo deal along with the expansion battery. After testing with my transfer switch, I wanted more battery time. Ordered it afterwards which cost more than buying it bundled.

Just what I always wanted

I live in the Country...I have 2 generators and a battery bank with inverter for sump pumps. The generators run on Natural Gas, Propane, or regular gas.
My problem was if something happened and pump stations or distribution was affected for a long period, what happens if my stocks were Depleted....
In comes the ANKER SOLIX F3800...it gives me the flexibility to power what I need, save resources, and I can recharge with my small efficient generator or with the sun.
I tested it out and this thing is amazing...it charges fast, it can power everything, and the solar panels are efficient and surprisingly quick with full sun.
I would say that this is probably my best investment for powering my house, and gives me flexibility and piece of mind!

Anker Solix F3800

I am very impressed with the SOLIX F3800. I live in a rural area and my power goes out frequently. I didn't want the hassles of a gas generator, and I've been looking for a 220V inverter in a single unit to run my well pump along with most of the essentials in my house. I set up a trial run using the F3800. I was able to power my refrigerator, freezer, TV, internet, and lights in most rooms while charging my iPhones and iPads. I was using about 150-200 watts and the output meter was showing about 10 hours of backup time. That is usually more than enough time until my line power is restored. All while the unit is sitting in my family room! I hooked up the 200W solar panel and was producing about 150W with out optimizing the placement and angle to re-charge the unit. I will be ordering the transfer switch and hooking the unit into my panel box to power my well pump. I am very impressed with this unit and extremely happy with my purchase.

What a great Unit! It's a beast! I bought it to use as a backup for our house and take it on the road in our RV. The 400 watt solar panels can recharge the Solis easily in a few hours! We love it!

Just Great!

Overall, the F3800 is a very nice unit, performs well, very robust. The ability to use it in place of a generator using the L14-30 port makes it immediately useful. There are a few things that could be improved, mostly regarding charging. The solar input voltages make it difficult to maximize the solar input using panels other than Anker panels. It would be nice to allow pass-through charging so the unit could be charged from 120VAC and still have the 240VAC port function, and allow simultaneous solar/120VAC charging for maximum recharging. Using the 120VAC charger set to the maximum input of 1800 watts, the line cord and plug get very warm. If you don't require fast charging, the line cord can be kept much cooler by reducing the input charge.

Great Value for Whole Home Backup

It works for lower wattage stuff, but not up to the task of things it claims to be. A 920watt 8.2amp 10,000 BTU window A/C will cause it to overload after 5-10mins. I mean it runs TV's, and PC's fine and would make a great backup for them. I got this intending it to run just a A/C 920watt, 27" monitor, and a small PC pulling 198watts on a RV build, everything is plugged directly into it. and it charges periodically off the gas generator or I deploy the solar panels at stops on top. The solar panels were also a bit of a let down, it is only drawing a bit under 200watt with 3x 200w panels attached. I thought maybe only one was connected or maybe some were bad. But it seems the incoming wattage is proportional as it goes down by a 1/3ish disconnecting one of the 3 panels. Due note this is in Texas around noon with no clouds, we got plenty of sun and they are flat on top of the truck (RV is a converted ambulance I just put them on top of the box and run the cords in,). Maybe I got a lemon unit since it has issues charging and discharging? It does seem to charge fine off A/C plug into the generator so who knows.
