Angel’s Envy is what happens when 200 years of bourbon tradition meet an independent master craftsman’s instinct to improve. It’s a total return to the art of craft-first, hand-blended batches of 8 to 12 barrels at a time.

The flavor is light, with the mild wood and tart spiciness standing at the forefront, and that maple and vanilla sweetness just behind. That hint of a red fruit note from the nose remains in the background, but is strong enough to add to the complexity of the bourbon.

Those at Angel’s personally taste every barrel throughout each step of the aging process to ensure that the spirits meet their perfectionist standards. This would be enough for any other premium bourbon, but they think you deserve more. That’s why they finish every one of the whiskeys in hand-selected finishing barrels. For an added layer of flavor and complexity, the bourbon and special cask strength are finished in ruby port casks, and the rye is finished in rum barrels. There’s no set time for this process. It’s only Angel’s Envy when we say it is.

So I tried a 17$ old fashioned while at Top Golf over the holidays it was simply bliss. Iv never had such a smooth whiskey. Googled the ingredients and found it at Sam’s club. So far I’ve fell down a rabbit hole and spent 200$ in 2 weeks on this alone and it’s simply divine.
