[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It was a big learning curve to figure out how to put together and use this lawn mower.
 After following the instructions I got it together but did the battery wrong. It took a while to figure out where I went wrong. I spent a long while thinking I got a broken product 
In the end it was my fault but I got it working. 
I just had to take care of the batteries correctly 
In the end it works great and makes a lot less noise than other mowers.
The batteries work for a decent time before getting charged but I think I need to buy more. 
I think this is a great miver overall and I am grateful to own it

The brushless motor doesn’t flinch when it hits the thick stuff along my fence, and the rear-wheel drive lets me cruise the little hill by the driveway instead of pushing a sled uphill.

I didn’t expect to appreciate how quiet it is until my toddler napped straight through an afternoon mow—huge win.

Bagging is my go-to in spring when the grass is thick, but flipping the lever to mulch for summer takes seconds and leaves zero clumps. Build quality seems solid; the steel deck has already shrugged off an unseen sprinkler head without a ding. Only quibble: the safety key is easy to misplace—tethering it to the handle solved that. I ditched my old gas guzzler and took a gamble on this 40 V Yard Force—and I’m never going back. With two 5 Ah batteries on board, it chews through my quarter-acre lot and still flashes two bars when I’m done. The brushless motor has a surprising kick; even in afternoon heat the blade never bogs down, and the self-propel dial lets me stroll or speed-walk without feeling dragged. The bonus is the noise—or lack of it. I can actually hear the birds while I mow, and my Bluetooth earbuds don’t have to fight for volume.

Setup was basically popping the batteries in and clicking the handle into place. Switching from mulching to bagging is a one-lever move, and the steel deck feels solid enough to survive the random pinecones my kids keep “forgetting” in the yard. I haven’t tapped the 5-year tool warranty yet, but it’s reassuring to have. My only tweak was lowering the front wheels one notch to get a tighter cut on the front lawn—took all of ten seconds. If you want gas-level muscle without the fumes or maintenance, this rig delivers.

Cordless Muscle That Outruns My Gas Mower

batteries die super quick.  my kobalt was way better and 1 battery would get my back yard done.  1 of these batteries only gets about 1/3 of my back yard.  not recommended.

Just bought for mowing along 1/4 mile long driveway on both sides.  Did not want bagger, only side discharge.  It comes with the discharge already on for the bagger and no explicit instructions on how to remove the firm bagger discharge or how to put on the side discharge.  Got so frustrated I decided to attach the bagger but it is flimsy and pathetic. So now I'm back to trying to detach the firm bagger discharge/attach the side discharge so I don't have to use the bagger.  So far I hate this mower!

Bagger discharge should come as a choice

I purchased this battery-powered lawn mower to replace a gas-powered one by the same brand. The gas mower still worked, but because of a plastic gear that wore out, the self-propelled part no longer worked it became just a push mower. This cordless mower came well packaged and seemed to look like it was well built. After taking it out of the box and putting it together, I charged up the battery and put it in the mower, and followed the directions to start it. It never started. It was dead on arrival. I charged up the other battery, and while both showed that they were fully charged, when I put them in the mower and tried to start, it never did. I contacted the company by phone, and after explaining that it never started, they asked me for my phone number and email address. The guy I talked to said they would contact me by email and to send them pictures and videos of the battery in the machine. He then said they would get it repaired. I never received an email or any further response from the company, so I just returned it.

Dead on Arrival

Returned this after two days. Glad I bought it from Sam's because the return was easy. Changing the batteries is very difficult and the release button barely works. The start button feels like cheap plastic and I couldn't even turn it on. Also, once the batteries are in the mower, there's no way to check the battery level. Very disappointing design.

Cheap Build and Hard to Use

Both batteries stopped charging on their 5th charge. I am so frustrated and will never buy Yard Force products again. I have to wait to buy a new mower until this one is picked up and my money is refunded. I work Mon-Fri 8-6 and HATE that I'll have an overgrown lawn to try to get under control. DO NOT BUY
