Got this a couple weeks ago and just got to try it out with the 12" snowstorm yesterday. OK - it works! At least with the light powder snow we had. It says it will handle 6" of snow.  I never let it get deeper than 4", though I did attack some deeper drifts with it. It definitely throws the snow, high and far.  Just be aware it only throws straight ahead and  if there's any wind it's might come back in your face. I also used it to dig out the end of my driveway where the plow piled up snow and ice.  It worked, I just had to lift it up and attack the pile until it was shallow enough to push it on the driveway.  The Bad..it doesn't feel like the scraper blade will last a very long time and wrangling a long extension cord in freezing temps is a challenge. Summary - it's good for occasional light snow, but I wouldn't count on it for heavy duty removal.

Works pretty good - just know what you're getting

We got 6" overnight and I cleared porch + 50 ft walkway in 12 minutes before work. At 14 lb it’s easy on my back, and the whisper-quiet motor means I’m not that neighbor firing up a gas blower at 6 a.m.

For what I paid, this thing works just fine and does what it's supposed to do. However, it's MUCH louder than I'd expected! I'd compare the sound to my electric leaf blower's motor. Definitely not awesome to use at night if you want to be a good neighbor.
