My boys just loves this Xbox to replace the old one. I like how it fits perfectly in the entertainment system and it stores their games digitally.

This is a all digital console, and has less drive space. On the box it says 512gb.  That's not what you get, and that's to be expected. However, you get less than 400gb. You read that right. With triple A games pushing 50-100gb these days, that's not a lot. If you're into indie games you probably won't be hard pressed for space. The space you get when everything is set up. Approximately 364gb. Oof! I was expecting a bit more, maybe just a little over 400gb. So do yourself a favor and grab the 1tb WD Black expansion card if you intend to get this one.
Nothing is different on the main screen you see, if you upgraded from the Xbox One, far as the menu goes, everything looks the same you just got more horsepower. Games boot faster, especially Xbox One games, and then there's  the quick resume. It lets you jump right back into a game you played last. The console is about a foot long and maybe five inches tall. It's pretty small.  Also, no power brick. I went the digital route due to space concerns and price difference between the two consoles. If you care about graphics and want a disc drive, series X then, if you don't,  then the S will suit your needs. Again,  get an expansion card if you go the digital route you'll run into space problems quickly.

my son bought it for his soon to be 11 yr old son birthday. My grandson said that all his friends had one,with it he could connect with his friends.  So we bought it, he loves it.

HOW TO RECEIVE GAME PASS

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Although it doesn't mention it on the walmart website or the xbox bundle that I ordered, Microsoft will not honor the three month free trial Game Pass Ultimate subscription if you have ever previously purchased a subscription.  I ordered a trial subscription to try out the PC version of starfield, it turned out my PC could not run the game so I cancelled the subscription.  When I ran the setup on the xBox the trial subscription would not complete ending with an error code.  I wound up having to buy a subscription in order to get my game installed.  It's not life changing but it meant the xbox value on walmart was not as good since I paid for something Microsoft failed to deliver.  Not Walmart's fault but still I am upset.
