Whether you drink it as your first cup of the day or as an afternoon pick-me-up, Victor Allen's Coffee will deliver the dark roast coffee flavor that you are craving.</p> <p>What Brewing Machines Is the Victor Allen's French Roast Single-Serve Cups Compatible With?</p> <p>These single-serve cups can be used in any single-serve brewing system including the Keurig® 2.0. You will get all the flavor you expect from a café, the Arabica beans are full-bodied with a velvety and smoky flavor. Many people consider it the best French roast coffee available!</p> <h3>What Does French Roast Mean?</h3> <p>The Victor Allen's French Roast is one of the best dark roast coffees, but French roast and dark roast aren't exactly the same thing. French roasted beans are very dark. The Specialty Coffee Association of America has created a tool to determine the darkness of a coffee roast. This tool is called the Agtron Gourmet Scale. The categories range from 25 to 95 with 25 being the darkest. French roast beans clock in somewhere between 28 and 35. The high temperature of the French roast brings the oils inside the bean to the surface. This gives them their customary smoky flavor.</p> <h3>Where Do Arabica Beans Come From?</h3> <p>These cups are made from French roast coffee beans that are 100% Arabica. Arabica coffee comes from the Coffea arabica plant that originated in the highlands of Ethiopia. This plant does not grow well in harsh climates. It prefers temperatures between 59 degrees and 75 degrees Fahrenheit. Plus, it grows better in the shade. It takes seven years for the plants to mature, and they are typically grown about 1,900 feet above sea level. It can be grown well in Costa Rica, Mexico, Ethiopia, Brazil and Rwanda. Currently, Brazil is the largest producer of Arabica beans in the world.</p>

BEST VALUE and GREAT SERVICE

I have ordered Victot Allen's French Roast pods on the Sam's website numerous times. I frequently order 2 cases of 100 pods as it is occasionally out of stock. For some reason now it hasn't been restocked online. It's a very good French Roast, and according to my purchase history my last 2 cases were delivered on March 6th.

This is a good strong coffee. Just what I was looking for. Have purchased other French Roast brands but this is excellent and truly a bold and strong coffee.

Better than expected.

The best French roast k-cup available!!!!  I have been using it for years and nothing comes close to it.  I am so sad when they are out of stock.  I usually buy 2 boxes a month.  Try it, you will not be disappointed.  It is warm cozy coffee, there is no acid, or bitterness just smooth.....

Am a bit disappointed in this coffee, which is more bitter and less bodied than I expected. Compares poorly to pods of similar French Roast coffee.

Must have changed the blend on this, it’s much weaker and if you hit extra strong button on Keurig it just makes it more bitter. It used to be a decent coffee, but not anymore. There are better brands out there.

Weak and bitter coffee

I don't make a lot of money, but I love my coffee.  I was, however, trying to find something slightly less expensive, but I was very apprehensive about doing so.
I was correct to be concerned.  This product is Nothing like any French Roast coffee I've ever had.  It is almost flavorless, barely more than black water.  It is not rich, and the tiny flavor it does have is Not appealing.  Additionally, it has a bad aftertaste.  If your coffee is sacred to you, don't make the mistake I did trying to save a few dollars.  Buy what you know is what you like.
