VAULTZ FILE TOTE

I ordered the Vaultz Locking File Tote Storage Box, Letter, Black, from Wal-Mart.com and had delivered to my nearest Wal-Mart. I didn't order it necessarily for the Locking feature, I wanted a Letter File Tote that the latches wouldn't come open while being carried/transported. Letter hanging file folders fit nicely and I am pleased with my purchase.

I was so happy to find this locking file storage. Works beautifully and does not take up lots of space! I did not experience any difficulty with setting the locks, as described in earlier reviews.

This really is a good and wise purchase if you have important papers that you need the ability to quickly, conveniently, and securely transport. I'm really pleased with this purchase. Good quality. So glad I bought it.

A previous purchase of a box with lock did not work but fortunately the combination lock works perfectly.

It is exactly what I had in mind! It works great for what I am using it for. I wanted to store some papework that would be safe and secure and this did the trick.

While this box was at least $20 less expensive than other locking file boxes I had searched for, perhaps I should have heeded that warning. The box is really...underwhelming--none of the components fit together all that effectively, making for a case that not only looks junky, but likely wouldn't take more than a swift kick to open. My advice: Don't use this to put anything super-sensitive or valuable in. This is exhibit A in the case against buying things just 'cause they're cheap--they end up being just that!

I wouldn't put anything really confidential in it.

While I loved the idea of this item, the locking mechanism simply did not work. However, returning it to a nearby store was quick and easy.

Disappointed

Locked me out after one day of use. I wrote my combos down so I know they were correct but would not work. Tried different close combinations to the ones I set in case the numbers were “nudged” that worked for one side but not the other. Eventually had to break it opened which wasn't easy but also not difficult enough to call it secure.

Instructions included with product are really poor. If you buy this product, see the video online FIRST, before you do anything.

I returned 2 of them.
