I keep these sausage ropes in the freezer for making emergency appetizers. I cut the rope in rings (about 3/8 inch)  then add a slice of pineapple to the top of each ring secure with a toothpick. Bake at 375 degrees for 15-20 minutes.  Very tasty and satisfying.

Perfect For emergency appetizers

Can't over how delicious this sausage is, I've tried many brands but this one if by far the best! You can make different meals with this. Definitely good for meal preps. It's juice and packed with flavor. Also love how sealed the package is.

It is the best sausage in the Walmart meat dept. Good flavor. It is very greasy. It should be boiled in water 15min before serving. Other than that it's good

Been eating Hillshire smoked sausage for over 30 years. Lately the texture has changed to a more rubbery quality and the meat does not taste the same. Please go back to the old recipe or manufacturing process.

for some reason, the family pack of sausage has the toughest skin.. and i have bought it several times just to make sure that it wasn't just a bad pack. I have to get the smaller packs, because its terrible trying to eat gumbo or jambalaya and trying to unravel the skin from each sausage slice 😐 😫

Tough skin

This used to be my favorite sausage because of great taste %26 texture. But I just bought some %26 tried to eat it , the taste was off. It is tough to eat plus it no longer tastes like before. Sad cause you have just lost a loyal customer. I wish I could give this 0 stars!

Hilshire Farms has changed their delicious flavor the once had, I have purchased their sausages on many occasions thinking the perhaps they've  gone back to their original flavor.  The texture and flavor, unfortunately their sausages seems to taste worst, the sausages are too salty and just overall taste terrible.  I will never buy their any of their brand.

Their Sausages taste awful now.

The one I purchased last month was delicious , so I purchased two packages this month but these I purchased this month have a disgusting taste !! Gross! Never,ever again!!!

Tastes bad!!!

I purchase 10 packs Hillshire smoked sausage last week. I just found out about the recall. as I ate the sausage's I noticed there was bones inside. I thought I was tripping, but since I saw that a recall was called because of bone inside the meat, I know I was in my right frame of mind. I would like my money back for the 
 I purchased because I had to throw them away. I have no receipt.

I have been eating hillshire farm beef sausage since I was a kid. Were talking about over 30 years. Lately I have bought it and I am sorry it's just not being made with the same quality ingredients!!It feels real soft to the touch. Not a firm sausage. I am so dissapointed to say this used to be my favorite sausage and now it is NOT!! Please go back to your original recipe... Until then U have lost my family as customers.
