Proper No. Twelve's Triple Distilled Irish Whiskey is an ultra-smooth blend of fine grain and single malt with hints of vanilla, honey and toasted wood. Milling and Mashing: The finest barley is steeped, germinated and gently air dried. Using a traditional roller mill, the malt barley is then turned into a fine grist. Fermentation: After mashing, the natural fermentation process produces the wash (essentially beer) with over 8% alcohol. Distillation: The traditional triple distillation method uses copper pot stills, which create and fine-tune the proper character. After the first distillation, the strength of the spirit is increased through a second distillation with a low wine still. A third distillation in the spirit still, creates a cut above 80% alcohol. This captures the heart of the spirit. Maturation: Proper's coopers hand-select the finest former bourbon barrels in which to age our proper whiskey. Our spirit slowly ages developing through the years flavors of vanilla, honey and toasted wood. Blending: The blending of sweet Irish grain spirit and single malt Irish whiskey lies at the heart of Proper No. Twelve. Our Master Distiller selects casks that hold the rich character needed to craft Proper No. Twelve Whiskey.

Tasty enough for special occasions, cheap enough to drink whenever I feel like it. Highly recommended.

Favorite whiskey

Good Irish whiskey

Prior military experience has sent me around the world. Being lucky enough to try whiskey from different country's. This is in my opinion on top shelf level for 1/4 the price! And not because McGregor is the owner! This has true Irish whiskey heritage flowing into the bottles! 

It has a smooth whisky hint on the sniffer. First taste is light honey followed by sandlewood and a firm finish of oak and light Carmel to roll down the throat. 

I recommend it neat on ice or mixed with simply lemonade on those warm summer evenings. 

Try a bottle you won't be disappointed!

Don't over pay for good whiskey

Proper No. 12 is set to challenge Jameson as the standard-bearer for Irish whiskey. Founded by UFC star, Conor McGregor, and produced at the legendary Bushmills Distillery in County Antrim, Northern Ireland, this whiskey is smooth and flavorful. Aromatic without being overpowering, I enjoy it neat or with ice.

Move aside, Jameson!

This is alright, it has a strange after taste though. Should have just got the Jameson.
