I bought with skeptical feeling and got surprised how good it tasted. My homemaker who will cook anything for me even if she doesn't care for it,  commented how easy to make good tasting, quick meal with so little time. Her "rave" is not easy to earn, so your Panda Orange is first class. Not too spicy but not bland either. Back to ordering more.

Delicious surprise

I don't know what Panda Express orange chicken tastes like, but I bought this to make my own version with chopped up boneless skinless thighs, no batter. I sauteed the chicken halfway, added the sauce along with some orange pieces and pepper and finished cooking covered on medium for about 15 minutes. Served over jasmine rice. It was a hit.

Good sauce.

Please note that this is a tad on the zesty side, since it's not really a spicy kind of thing, but it gives the impression of having some heat to it. Be sure dilute it to taste before serving it to unsuspecting diners.
I like to add it to minute rice and some canned chicken for a quick and easy orange chicken rice. Add some of the red orange, yellow and green peppers for a bit of a sour and color  and it's a meal.

Tangy Heat

i've never been to panda express so i can't compare. i only got this bc i wanted orange chicken sauce and this was pretty much it. it had a bit of a weird unplaceable edge to it that i didn't recognize? maybe it's a personal issue. i also quite literally just used it straight out of the bottle as a dipping sauce for my chicken tenders, so maybe i do have to heat it up to not get that strange taste. it's not overpowering though, i'll probably finish the bottle. i just want to try different brands after this is all.

This doesn't taste like the Orange Chicken sauce at Panda Express. It is way more spicy in the bottle than at the restaurant. I normally go for spicy food, so that isn't an issue in most cases, but this sauce burned my mouth as I was eating and made my nose run. I felt sick with stomach issues the next day. Not sure if this is normal or not, but was not what I was expecting. I give it two starts because the dish I made wasn't horrible, just too much heat for my taste.

Way too much Heat!

If this product off the shelf tastes nothing like what it should taste like without adding outside ingredients what's the point of the product then?? Even after shaking as much as I humanly could the vinegar just overpowers everything. Overall if I need to add outside ingredients to make it slightly resemble what it should taste like it's a waste to me.

What's the point??

If you are expecting this to taste like Panda's Orange Chicken you are going to be sorely disappointed. I'm now convinced that no brand of orange sauce exists on grocery shelves that are capable of tasting the way they are supposed to. This sauce by Panda is by far the most vinegar tasting I've had yet. It will literally make your face wince. Used it and ate it anyway only for it to make me sick. I've since thrown away the bottle. Don't waste your money like I did and just go to Panda to get the real thing.

Horrible taste !

This is awful. You'd think a Panda product would taste at least close to something you'd get in a restaurant and you would be wrong. No, this is vinegar and some kind of overpowering citrus flavoring wrapped in chemicals. I mean it, it is horrific. Inedible.

Yikes

Iwanted to like it but it tastes vinegary. I was very disappointed. I have real Chinese food at least once a month. This sauce in my honest opinion, does not size up to the real stuff. Dipped a nugget in the sauce. One dip is all it took. I screwed the top back on and then left it in the fridge for months before tossing into the trash.
