A lot of updates have been added. The lid locks in so no more pouring and it falls off. The coffee filter added is a permanent one and this also locks in. The amount of water put into the reservoir is the amount that will be used so no overfilling. I am very pleased with these safety updates. Coffee comes out great every time and temperatures are great.

Ninja coffee does it again

Love love love this Ninja coffee maker,there  are 2 settings for coffee making, 1 for regular and 1 for dark, its easy to cleanand take care of, very good price. There is a clock for setting different times for your coffee to brew,of course a warmer too. There are other extras on it also. RECOMMEND IT HIGHLY.

I decided to switch back to a traditional coffee maker from the single dispensing type.  I read very favorable reviews on the Ninja XL, and I can honestly say I was not disappointed.  Great features and a sleek design go hand in hand with the coffee brewed by this coffee maker.  You can brew a small batch or a full carafe without sacrificing taste or quality.  I would certainly recommend this coffee maker, especially at its current price point.

A great coffee maker from Ninja!

Easy to operate, versatile, and easy to clean. I use mine to brew tea. I've still not brewed coffee and wonder about the on board scoop...seems a bit generous. Brewing on the Rich setting takes about 18 minutes for a full 14 cup pot, but it does maximize the flavor. The height is shorter than my last 12 cup unit, so it stores comfortably on the counter under the cabinet.

The carafe sometimes dribbles off the side for no reason and sometimes it pours out just fine. It’s easy to program, I set the coffee the night before for my husband and son everyday so it’s ready for them in the morning. I like how the water reservoir comes out, it makes it super easy to fill. The cone shape filter makes the coffee stronger so I don’t have to use as much coffee, which saves me money

It’s a keeper

Absolutely awesome coffee maker. Great idea to have removable reservoir but it is not stable. I leave my reservoir on it does make it easier to add the water. I think the coffee scoop is nice but it's a bit over the top and if the pot brakes there should be a replacement available.  Makes a good cup if coffee (I grind my beans fresh every time I make coffee, so I am picky 😎!

Shark does it again!  Great Product!

A bit complicated with the tank removal each iteration.  Nouns used for function controls are different, so new learning required.  Biggest objection is like so many carafes before, when full the pouring runs down the side and makes a mess of counters and floor.  If you reframe from making full capacity, you may never have to deal with this problem.  So bad 14 cup maker, fair 12 cup maker.  I do like the new engineering of the drip into a gravity tunnel, to ensure the coffee has less flavor layers.

Good Progress on Technology, but still some to go.

We love this coffee maker don't get me wrong. The only issue is when you brew the full 14 cups (water is filled to the 14 lines, not above), you go to pour your coffee and it dribbles all over the place until you pour out some of the coffee. We always have to pour the first cup over the sink. Other than that, great machine. :)

I love Ninja, but the design still needs work

It's an average coffee pot but slightly more expensive than a Mr Coffee. We are hoping it lasts more than a year. I do clean it as directed, so hopefully it lasts. Probably won't buy it again when this one dies. The pot has an inside rim that keeps all the liquid from pouring out, so you have to wipe out the water when washing. It is noisy when down to the end of heating and pumping water into the ground basket. We don't remove the water chamber like it says to fill because it really is not convenient to do that. We just fill the pot and pour in the chamber like you would for most coffee makers. It does stay nice and hot and the 14 cup capacity is nice for when you have guests.

Average

The coffee looks nice and it makes a good cup of coffee, but I don't think it's worth the money.   I was looking for a programmable coffee maker and this ain't it.   You can't really program it to do anything unless I'm missing something.  Not at all what I hoped for.  It doesn't have the bells and whistles for the price.
