My husband likes these shoes so much, I ordered two more pairs for him from Sam's Club's website.

He wears the shoes every day..not for hiking. His typical day consists of working outside either in our large garden or on more general, heavy outdoor activities. These shoes are ideal for such activities...the shoes are sturdy but comfortable and fit his feet perfectly. Based on his wear of the first pair, I anticipate good durability too. (These days, finding a well-fitting durable pair of shoes is a challenge. One pair of another brand purchased recently failed on the first wearing.)

The only improvement Sam's Club could make is to offer a similar shoe for Women.

Excellent shoe, not just a 'hiking boot'

Merrill Moabs are my favorite hiking shoe.  They are rugged, long lasting and are comfortable right out of the box. No break in needed!   The Moab 3 shoe has a redesigned sole that appears to be tougher than previous models.   I average around 4-5 miles per day and generally get 18 to 24 months out of a pair.

Color Blind

I ordered the size 13 in Chestnut which is a light brown. Received a pair in Walnut which is not listed online. Did a refund in the store and reordered but got Walnut again. Called customer service but they could not help me get the right color.      I was only offered a refund.
