I received an email inviting me to try a new dish and I am always open to different dishes. Purchased it at Sam's and was excited since I am partial to TexMex food. Easy to prepare via the microwave. Great taste, though I added some "red pepper" which I always add after a taste test and find my Mexican food not as "hot" as I like. The flavor was great as it was a side dish to my chicken burritos. I did eat it by it self, but I also rolled it into one of my burritos. Yes, I would buy again and maybe add some more tomatoes to it since I like a more tomato taste than the dish came to me. Actually, I might add part of a can of tomato and diced peppers.  The label said it was two servings, but I could have easily had 4 side servings from one of the two containers. So, now I have a couple of servings left over for tomorrow and another container for next week. An economic prepared dish.

Great addendum to a Mexican dinner.

I purchased this for a weekend get together with family. Super easy to prepare. Everyone liked it. I went back to same Sam’s to purchase more and it was not there.

Tastes good easy to prepare.

I bought this product Friday April 19th and enjoyed it Sunday at noon, April 21st.  This Southwest Cheesy Rice is so good.  This product is perfect, just the right amount of everything.  It taste creamy with right amount of spiciness.  It's very filling and delicious.  The price is right for the food one gets.

Very  delicious food product.

Found the product to be tasty. Corn was crisp, rice not overcooked, Flavor hit my taste buds just right. I would have liked a few more beans in the mix. Portion size was accurate, something you normally do not see. Overall a great addition to the member mark family of products

Testing the product

This SW Cheesy Rice is an easy, tasty addition to any meal.  We had it on the side with tacos, but it would be a great  main base if you wanted to add a protein (meat or tofu).  Very flavorful and oh, so cheesy!  One container is enough for two people to have as a side, but if it is your main dish, you may want to use both containers.  Easy to pop in the microwave and done in a few short minutes.  Definitely recommend.

Member's Mark Southwest Style Cheesy Rice is not only a delicious assortment of fresh vegetables, black beans, and cheese but also one that comes in a surprising cost-effective manner.  The delectable rice dish is Mexican-inspired which brings the flavor to the next level.  Much recommended!

Delicious!

Bought a couple of days ago to go with a Sams Club Rotisserie Chicken. Overall a flavorful rice side dish, but needed a little more flavor. Like some green chilies. Would probably buy again at a little cheaper price. It was a quick and easy way to add a side dish to a meal.

MM Cheesy Rice side dish

I bought this at the end of April.  Rice is really good for being microwave prep only.  Done in 4 minutes and tastes pretty good.  I was happy that I bought this product and will buy again.  Only negative is the price.  Not as good of a value for $10 as others things at Sams Club.  Otherwise, 5 star review.

Easy to prepare and tastes pretty good.

I used the cheesy rice as a side dish to my Mexican cornbread meal. The dish alone didn’t not have enough salt for my taste buds but it had the perfect amount of spice. I love the ease of preparing the dish, it cooked very quickly. The rice was perfect, the black beans were a little hard but that could have been microwave settings. I wouldn't buy it in the future but it wasn't a terrible dish. I would recommend adding salt, sour cream, salsa and or taco meat to make it a meal.

"A" for effort

I purchased this  for a test product request. First off, I felt like the calories (710) for a single serving was exorbitant and 80 grams of carbohydrate is excessive. It does have 25 grams of protein which is good. The recommended cook time of 4 minutes was adequate if you like your rice al dente. I got a strong taste of lime but otherwise a bit bland tasting. Somewhat dry.  A little pricey.  I would not recommend this.
