Available in a wide range of colors, daylilies make an excellent addition to any garden spot, whether it's the perennial border, planted in large masses, or used as a ground cover.</p> <h3>Long-Lasting Blooms</h3> <p>Despite their name, daylilies promise more than just a day of beauty. Each flower stem typically boasts at least a dozen flower buds, keeping the plant in bloom for many weeks. The flowers open in the morning and die by nightfall, but with so many buds on each stem, you'll enjoy a constant display of fresh blooms.</p> <h3>Daylilly Soil Prep Instructions</h3> <p>Daylilies thrive in porous soil that drains well but still retains enough water for the roots. If your soil is heavy clay and drains slowly, or very sandy and does not hold water, consider adding organic soil amendments like peat moss or ground bark. Spread a 3-4" layer of soil amendment, add fertilizer, and incorporate together into the soil to a depth of 10".</p> <h3>Planting in Large Quantities</h3> <p>If you're planting a large quantity of roots in one bed, excavate the entire area to the recommended depth, work fertilizer into the bottom of the trench, place plants then cover roots all at once. Water thoroughly at planting. While actively growing, water frequently and thoroughly so that water will reach the roots. Mulch to keep the soil cool and to prevent the soil from drying out. All of the review are right -- these don't bloom and rot in the soil.    I frequently buy dormant root stock and have great luck, but this batch is obviously bad.

Don't Grow - Just Rots - Dried out out of the box.

Bought this item in store a few days ago. I opened them today to start indoors and they were a wet mushy mess of rotted tubers. I wish Sam’s did better with their quality control!!! I will be returning for a refund and going to one of the big box home improvement stores in future!!!!

Rotten Mushy Tubers!!!

I suppose I should have read the reviews, but I was in the store and grabbed 2 boxes of daylilies. When i opened them they were a pile of mush. Absolutely will not grow and will never buy anything like this from Sam's club again.  I love sams club quality control, I always tell everyone that Sam's club sells the best items, something really went wrong here and I paid the price.

Complete scam - when we got to plant them there were 2 sickly plants in the bag, have zero confidence anything will grow. I feel cheaed both on quantity and quality. Compleye waste of money!

Horrible

I purchased  the Clematis a month go . They were dry but I thought if I planted them they might come out ,I was wrong. None of them came out  that was  waste of money .

I bought the echinacea. I will never buy again. There was supposed to be 6 roots. I was very disappointed to find only two dried out remnants of roots. Do not waste your money on these. I am not expecting either to grow & I paid $15 for these!

Do not waste your money

Maybe one of the tubers was ok.  The rest were either rotted or dried out.

Terrible product

Purchased these in store, got them home and opened the box. All mushy and rotten. Disappointed!
