Product details

Thriving Blackberry Plants for Your Garden

Blackberries are a versatile cane berry that flourish in most soil types, with a preference for well-drained, fertile soil. These plants thrive in sunny spots, whether in a corner of your garden or along a fence. Unlike other berries, blackberries grow erect and do not require a trellis or additional support, making them easy to cultivate.

Impressive Yield and Nutritional Benefits

A mature blackberry plant can produce up to 8 lbs of berries in a single season, offering a bountiful harvest for your enjoyment. Blackberries are also a nutritious source of vitamins A and C, making them a delicious and healthy addition to your diet.

Simple Planting Instructions

To ensure successful planting, remove the blackberry plant from its packaging. If the roots appear dry, soak them for no more than two hours before planting—be sure not to submerge the entire plant, only the roots. Dig a hole slightly larger than the spread of the root system, place the plant in the center, spread out the roots, and backfill with soil. Firm the soil around the roots as you backfill, then water thoroughly.

Care and Maintenance for Long-Term Enjoyment

After planting, trim the blackberry plant to about half its original height and remove any small side branches. With proper care, these plants will provide delicious berries for years to come, making them a rewarding addition to your garden.

Not dead!

We thought these were dead, but it just took FOREVER for anything to happen. Bought 6 plants, realized how big they get and gave 2 to friends. One went missing from the ground (a mystery) but the other 3 all sprouted, and so did the 2 that I fave to friends! It genuinely took over a month for anything to happen and we were very convinced that they were dead, but patience proved us wrong!

2 out of 4 Made It

I bought 2 sets of these (4 plants total), planted them in early May. It is now mid July and only 2 of the 4 are showing signs of life. Trying to be patient, but I think it is hopeless.

Didn't Make It

Unfortunately, bought three of these in a single one didn't make it. Six plants total. They were for sale in the store in Naples, Florida, and once I planted in the ground, they dried out and died despite constant watering in March/April.
