This is a basic flooring kit. Simple tools for the average homeowner. After opening this product I feel that the tools are of good quality for the price. I don't see the need to spend more money on a name brand version of any of these tools. Everything you would need to install your floor is included in this set. The contour gauge works well and makes it easy to duplicate angles and notches. The double face mallet feels solid and does the job. I'm very happy average with this set.

Flooring installation kit

There are several good things about this set, it includes everything you should need, including a contour gauge.

Highlights of things not included in kits or tools I have used in the past.
The bar for tapping the flooring into place has felt pucks on it so that it doesn't rest the metal bar directly on the face of the flooring.
The tapping bar has a hole in it for hanging it for storage.
The contour gauge is easily locked/unlocked.
The contour gauge has magnets so that it can be easily stored on any metal surface, like your toolbox or cabinet.
The tapping block is a nice size and has a step on one side, if needed.
The shims/wedges have grooves to lock them together, stopping them from slipping out.
The hammer has a good feel to it, solid and comfortable handle.

Bottom line, this is a good quality kit, I wish that I would have had this the first time I installed flooring like this.

Perfect install kit

This set for flooring installation has every this that you will need beside the saw. The contour tool is great for those odd shape that you may run into in a bathroom or kitchen and makes it easy to make cuts that fit perfectly against the flooring material I found this perfect for engineered hardwood.

Complete kit

I used this kit to install laminate flooring in family room area. This kit contains the basic tools you must have to complete the job. You need the spacers, hammer, nailing block and puller to do the job correctly and quickly.  This tool set worked great and is a must have.

Great inexpensive tool set for flooring install

I waited to submit my review until after I put these  tools to good use.  I was very impressed.  The hammer/mallet, tapping block, and pull bar are substantial, held up very well and will become permanent members of my tool box.  

The wedge spacers are wedge spacers, they are a must, purchased or made - these were just fine - I will eventually loose them.  

I've never gotten much use out of contour gauges (maybe I don't understand them) - this one seems just as good as the others I've received as gifts.  

All that being said the set was more than worth the price, I've very glad I picked it up.

Excellent product, definitely staying in toolbox

Lives the ten inch locking and magnetic countour gauge! It made it so easy for me to cut the tiles to fit accurately around the existing quarter round trim. My new flooring looks awesome and is aligned perfectly! In addition, the mallet hammer and tapping block were great to help position the tiles correctly. And the triangle helped with scoring the tiles for cutting. As a do it yourself person, these tools allowed me to install tile on my own.

Flooring Tools

This set has everything in one! Everything you need. I used this laying the floor in my bathroom. The material is good and durable.  Easy clean up. I bought a small tool box to store it all in. So when i go to my next project, I'm all set!

Handy set

Used this Flooring Installation Kit for a laminate floor in a foyer.  The square was helpful for straight end cuts, the tapping block worked well on smaller pieces (used a 2x4 on larger), and the pull bar was good to remove and/or lift molding. Did not use the contour gauge or spacers on this project, but they will can in handy on future ones.

Nice Kit that Worked Well for a Laminate Install

This product looks fabulous! It will probably save a lot of time in laying a floor - saving lots of time having to measure, cut and measure, etc. with the pull bar and spacer. Just being able to get each of the spaces so neatly uniform makes the finished floor look so professional. Love the triangle and t-square - and of course, love the mallet to make the laying job easier. This product is amazing for someone who wants to save money or just to make themselves proud of a job well done!!

Time to lay that new floor!!!

Worked good on wood flooring since this is the first time I have done wood flooring.  I was impressed with bar to tap them close together.  I used the corner thing but not real sure about it -easier for me to measure it out.  Small triangular measures good.
