I recently received the McCormick Basil Balsamic Seasoning (11.37 oz) to try, and I have to say it turned out to be a surprisingly versatile addition to the kitchen.

The flavor balance is what stood out the most. You get a nice herbal note from the basil paired with the tangy, slightly sweet bite you’d expect from balsamic. It isn’t overpowering, which makes it easy to use on a lot of different foods without worrying about it dominating the dish.

I tried it first on roasted vegetables and it worked really well, adding just enough brightness to bring out the natural flavors. It’s also great on chicken and pork, and I can see it being a solid option for quick marinades or even sprinkled over a caprese salad. If you enjoy balsamic flavors but don’t always want to deal with liquid vinegar or reductions, this seasoning gives you a similar profile in a much more convenient format.

Great Basil and Balsamic Flavor in a Convenient Se

I received this complimentary in exchange for my honest review. I gotta say I was pleasantly surprised at how good this tastes! I was intrigued by the sounds of it but wasn’t sure how I would really use it. However, I have found it to be great to add a little zesty seasoning. I’ve used it with chicken, caprese salad and my kids like the seasoning by itself. I think this will be a new staple in our house!

I really love this seasoning I’ve used it on my chicken and ground beef. It’s nice when you just want some flavor and saltiness. I probably would not combine it with other seasonings. It’s good on its own.

Season

I was extremely excited when I received this mcCormick’s basil balsamic seasoning because those are two of my favorite things. All of these seasonings have always been a staple in our household, so I was super excited to try this on anything in the last two weeks. I recently made an onion boil and homemade vegetables and this was delicious to put on top to add enough extra flavor and twang. The next thing I’ll be trying is pasta with this in addition because I hear that that adds always a nice touch. I do believe that this will become a staple in a lot of my upcoming dishes. Definitely would recommend. I did receive this as a part of an educational promotion.

A new favorite kitchen staple

I received this product as part of a promotional campaign. 

McCormick’s Basil Balsamic Seasoning is very aromatic. I added it to my vegetables, and it brought such a rich, delicious flavor. This is one seasoning where there really isn’t such a thing as too much- it enhances every bite. It added a great taste to my vegetables, and I can’t wait to try it in other dishes!

Flavorful Seasoning

This is an excellent universal spice, very aromatic. I love using it for salads and grilled wings. It has the perfect amount of salt, so it doesn't over-salt salads, though I did add a bit of extra salt for the wings. I checked the ingredients, and it's important to me that it uses safe ingredients and unrefined sea salt. I like the large, square packaging; unlike the ones with a round base, it doesn't waste space on the shelf. I will definitely be buying this again.

My new must-have

I received this item for free in exchange for my honest review. If you are someone that loves balsamic, I highly recommend picking this up. So far I’ve liked it on chicken and avocado and can’t wait to find more uses for it. To me, it has a great balance of flavors.

Balsamic Variety

I received this as part of a promotion in exchange for my review.  I used this as a marinade for grilled chicken by mixing it in with olive oil.  I also used it on vegetables.  It gave the veggies some extra flavoring.  Looking forward to using this spice blend more in the future

Delicious

I tend to like to add my herbs and spices separately when cooking so I was a bit skeptical about this seasoning blend. I found that using it on plain chicken breasts and to boost the flavor of a basic basil garlic pasta sauce were a hit with my family. The flavors aren't too overpowering and you get the sweet hint of balsamic as almost an aftertaste but in a good way. Not sure that I would go out of my way to purchase this again but I did enjoy experimenting with it for sure.
