Believe it or not, I've never tasted the original. Growing up in Europe where it isn't sold, it was never a childhood staple for me. That changed yesterday when I selected the original as a backup option in case Dino Bites weren't available, thinking the OG had to be similar to or even better than the budget version.

​I couldn't have been more wrong. I knew it the instant I opened the bag and was hit with an overwhelmingly citrus scent, rather than the evenly balanced fruity aroma I'd come to expect. Tasting it wasn't much better; it was way too bland for my liking. I guess it might be a healthier option, but given how unhealthy almost all cereals are, I only eat it as a rare treat. When I do, I want something that actually tastes good.

i buy this as an alternative for the more expensive brand my kids can't find a difference in them other than they do go stale quicker I keep them in locked storage containers and they still don't stay as fresh as the name brand but in my home they go fast so it's ok for the price you can't beat it it's a big bag a value for your money they have a nice crunch and a good fruity flavor

This cereal is such a budget-friendly staple in our house! The Malt-O-Meal Fruity Dyno Bites are a total win with my kids—they love the fruity flavor and fun colors, and I love the price and the big resealable bag.

It stays nice and crunchy, and the resealable packaging really helps keep it fresh, which is a must in a busy household like ours. Plus, being gluten free is an added bonus, so it works for everyone.

We go through this pretty quickly, but for the value you get, it’s hard to beat. Perfect for breakfast or a quick snack. Definitely a 5-star go-to for our family!

Budget Friendly Family Staple ~ Child/Teen FAVE

Oh how we love these... They are a delicious sweet fruity tasting cereal but I must say I just use them to make a batch of Krispie Treats and I can't see doing it another way now. I am supposed to be watching my sugar intake but these are a weakness of mine. These are my weakest link  so...

Malt O' Meal Dynpbytes are HANDS DOWN, better than fruity pebbles and I'll tell you why. Fruity Pebbles get soggy faster, Dynpbytes stay crunchy almost all the way to the end, I notice if I put to much milk they don't last as long but it's obviously due to being milk logged... Now let's talk about flavor. Again, HANDS DOWN the Dynpbytes much better and stronger fruity/citrus flavor that also lasts til the last bite. YUM!!!

I never tired this brand before and I am very pleased with it.  It tastes like the other named brand.  This also seems to be a better value for your dollar too.

I usually have strawberry milk with this for a bowl of cereal for breakfast.  I do recommend using a chip clip to keep the bag sealed instead of just rolling it.  With using a chip clip I found it keeps it fresh for longer.

Dino Bites are less expensive than Pebbles, but I think they taste better. They're great with milk in a bowl and they are AMAZING on Vanilla Ice Cream.

Poor Man's Fruity Pebbles

This cereal is a big hit with my two kids. It tastes exactly like the fancier name brand but at a lower cost. I can buy a big bag and my 18 year old son will eat 3 big bowls and a third of the bag is gone within a day. If you are looking for a good tasting, slightly cheaper cereal, this cereal is for you! Overall,  I highly recommend this product.

Great tasting cereal

I love Malt o' meal cereals! Most original big brand cereals don't hold a candle to the Malt o' meal cereal, you would think the original fruity pebbles would taste better, but it doesn't! I haven't found an original brand cereal that tastes better than the knock off from Malt o' meal!!!

Fruity Dino Bites are superior to Fruity Pebbles. I bought a box of FP because I was at a store that does not carry Malt-o-Meal products, and we all agreed in my house that the Dino Bites were better. Better tasting, better crunch, better value. Also love using these to make Dino Bite Treats! (rice crispy treats but fruity) DELICIOUS.

I bought this cereal because it is gluten free. But it is chocked full of food dyes. Food dyes are petroleum based and major causes for ADD and ADHD and can cause cancer. Shame on you for offering such  unhealthy foods!
