We've bought these a few times, and have had great success with them.  Obviously, the closer you are to the date the clams were picked (or said another way, the farther away you are from the sell by date), the better - as they are living creatures outside of their normal environment.

Very convenient

Great clams all my kids enjoy!!! You need to look at the date. Like they say  fifo look at the back bottom for the fresh ones!!!

I made clams & marinated pork in a crock pot the whole house was smelling so good. I used 1/2 of the clams and froze the rest for next time. My husband raved about this dish please keep them in your store I plan to make this every month!

Of the 35 only one was broken. Rest all were good. Will definitely buy again

Good product

This seemed liked a good value.  When I opened (same day as purchase) the clams there was a strong rotten smell.  Of the 35 clams, 7 were dead (open) and clearly had been for some time (rotten).  There is no way to see the clams through the packaging, so no way to know if this is a problem without opening.  Based on this, I don't expect Sam's will be carrying these for long, because I there will likely be MANY complaints.
