The sound is amazing. And that's the #1 objective with a speaker, so I am satisfied. I still cannot comment on the battery longevity since I have just used it once since I received it. 
As for build quality, it looks as expected if not better. 
The lighting feature is a bit of a gimick, but hey if people like it why not, and if you don't, you can turn it off.
